Ryan: Yes, the orange in the pics looks right. Excellent, I am really glad there is the pearlescent orange available, as that is what I want... Mark: Shame on me? I tried to shoo her away, but she simply would not get out of the picture. I was, after all, trying to get some Lambo shots. =) -- Michael |

Faisal - great pics! They really captured the flavor of the event well. Did get a little tiring listening to Keith Martin and Tom Dupont though. I too, finally got to meet Mr. G at the Historics today, with the bevy of other GT40's. Gotta believe that he was the only one to drive his car from Laguna Seca to the Lodge (I saw him leaving the track)! I'll be at Pebble tomorrow, will you? I'd love to put more faces to names. |

Michael, Although it varies form computer to computer, would you say that the colour orange in the pics was about right compared to what you saw in real life? Again, hard question but I am still interested in the answer. Thanks. |

Michael, On my Gallardo order form it says that there are two oranges: Arancio Ymir (flat orange) and Arancio Borealis (metallic orange which is an orange version of the yellow to which you are referring). |

Faisal Great photos! The F50 with the windows all fogged up with dew is kind-a cool. Why am I the only one that hasn't heard anyting about the Cizeta? I thought it was a airplane name when someone mentioned it to me. LOL Now its everywhere. MY VOTE FOR BEST CAR AT SHOW- Green Dino! Wow what a cool looking car with that great paint job! Michael... shame on you for posting that Lambo photo with that girls butt. This is a serious place to talk about F-cars. Oh..by-the-way Faisal, as a bit of a photographer myself, I love this picture the sun,smile,hear-whip I'm not a huge Ford fan but car looks cool. |

In regards to Gallardo.... The orange paint looked flat, not metallic. I was pretty sure I wanted orange, that is until I saw it, I just wished it was more pearlescent and metallic. The yellow one, on the other hand, really caught my eye. It was a gorgeous pearlescent metallic, it had this incredible sheen when the sun hit parts of it. Don't get me wrong, the orange looked great, it just didn't look as great in person as I had envisioned. -- Michael |

Faisal, I have never liked the looks of the 999, even after seeing the WSBK versions. I even rode one hard on the track back to back with my 998 and it was really disappointing. It's basically the same bike in an ugly package. Interesting that Tubi had that 999 though. Please let me know about that orange Gallardo, as I really like that colour. Thanks a lot. |

Kenny, I only have a 100 or so pics in higher res--they're 600k each and 1280 X 1024 in size. The rest of the pics I only have in this size/res. as I got them over email from Ben Lobenstein. He would be the one to ask for the full-res versions. I can burn mine on a CD and send them via snail mail, but emailing the 50mb worth of pics is not an option through my mail server. |

Modman, agreed on all points. I don't understand why they restricted it to the areas that they did. It was really crammed, especially in the Ferrari section. And there was tons more room. I did like this location better than the previous one though, just because it's by the ocean so you got a nice cool breeze the whole day. The other place used to bake. Shame they didn't allow you to bring your car in . Still, had a good time. Did you? |

I liked last year's event better than this year, it seemed more organized and this year seemed to crammed up when there was plenty more room available. I tried to get my car on the lawn but it was too late and they said there was no room but when I got there, there was definately more room available. I had the only blue 99 roadster not seen at the concorso for at least the 2 years I've been there and it's different from the others I've seen, Oh well there's always next year, well maybe..... got sick of seeing too many of the same cars... |

We started off on Rte. 1 and it was a parking lot. So we made a U-turn, which was an adventure unto itself on the single-lane road with my massive turning circle and the Lambo's ultra-low ground clearance. We ended up taking 101 home, which was busy, but moving. I almost got taken out twice, with people not using turn signals and my "aggressive" eagerness to get the hell home. Nice way to spend the day, though. |

Yeah, I outlined the writeup for the day, but I am hoping to get 4 or 5 more sets of pics before laying it all out. Roland was great. It was my first time meeting him. Very nice guy. I might be following him on the road for a bit after Pebble Beach--although I don't think I can keep up. Josh and I drove there together, and when I left, all the Lambos were leaving at the same time. A blue SV nearly hit me--idiot changed lanes without signalling! I spotted Josh's Roadster on the exit ramp ahead of me--so we drove back together as well! I also met Claudio Zampolli (CZ), the designer of the Cizeta, and he was kind enough to let me sit in the red one and spin its wheels on the grass. I really want to drive that car properly! The famous Lambo test driver Balboni was also around, but I missed him. Also got to check out the Noble in detail. Very well finished car, and it sounded nice from the inside. I was ordered to remove my shoes before sitting inside...funny how it's not an issue with cars costing 5 times as much! Still, it was nice of the vendors to provide so much access. Best of all, I hooked up with Jim G and his family, and walked around with them for a while. They loved the TVR, and I am looking forward to meeting up with them again tomorrow, when the GT40 will be driven and displayed at Laguna. Gallardo--didn't pay much attention to it, but I believe it was metallic. Will find out tomorrow if I can. 999 was at the Tubi stall, and it's the first time I have liked the look of that bike. Paint scheme on it was great! No 998s to photograph, but there was a 748. I have a pristine yellow 996 sitting at home, though, so let me know if you want pics! There was a sea of Ferraris, so lots more pics coming soon. Rgds, Faisal. |

Faisal, Awesome pics! Was that orange Gallardo metallic orange or the flat orange (it looks flat) because it's sweet. I was thinking that I might order metallic black but I really, really like that orange. What about that pic of the 999? Were there no 998's to take pics of? Anyways, thanks for the great pics. |
