Paul, sorry to hear that. I wonder why those who raced down the fairway did what they did, if it wasn't their ball. Did you talked to the owner of the house? They may have insurance to cover your damage.

I play quite often, so this is serious matter for the sake of all golfer's manner or how golfers are viewed.

At the GHO this year i noticed most houses with decks in back facing the course all had been screened in... guess that helps..

Paul, Pala Mesa is a wild course. One nine is unbelievably hilly (built on the side of a mountain) and the other is flat. Fun place to play. If you're a golfer, head over the hill and play Mt. Woodson!

Just make sure your house isn't 200 yards out on the right side of the fairway on a par 5. :-)

Warning to Phoenix/Scottsdale Fchatters, be careful on Hayden between Shea and Cactus. Errant golf balls from the course on the East side often hit Hayden. I have dodged one, hit by one (only bounced up under the car and rattled around) and watched a really nice SL55 get smacked. All in one month! AVOID GOLF COURSES!

I live on a course and get golf balls all the time. As far as my neighbors are concerned, the golfer holds the responsiblity for damage. I haven't had any that I could blame on a particular golfer yet, but there are dings on my deck and roof from golf balls. Some neighbors have had the golfer step up and accept the responsibility for damage though.

Should be Off Topic

But, yeah, when I play golf at resorts with residential homes lined along the fairway, I often wonder about golf balls flying through the patio while the owner is barbecuing, or balls flying through windows.... I wouldn't want to live in a home too close to a golf course either, unless it's far away enough for hackers to not be able to reach it..

Hi guys,

Thank goodness i did not have the F-car yesterday.
My lady and I were looking at a prosepctive residence in Fallbrook on the 15th hole of the Pala Mesa Resort. No sooner than 10 seconds after we exited the car, a golf ball came down upon us and landed on the hood of my wife's BMW.
This made a horrible sound and scared the @#$! out of us. blappppppppp. Her first ding and scratch!!

I confronted the two hackers who immediately came racing down the fairway. Of course they denied the whole thing. The pro-shop said "too bad"
This whole thing sucks.

Now my lady does not want anything to do with the house as she thinks it is a "bad sign"

happy motoring

and watch where you park your prancing horse!!
