Ok... let me get a few things out of the way here, first. My first-ever ride in a Ferrari Testarossa was with Billy Zisis; DESpite some mechanical problems, he still took me for a ride in it, which was awesome... Well, Sunday my ride in a Testarossa was a little longer, a little faster and a lot different...!

Secondly, if you have a problem with women driving sports cars or don't think it's cool or right or necessary or whatever else, go back to another thread; this entire post is about just that. If your masculinity or manhood is somehow threatened by a story containing the above-mentioned details, hit the back button on your browser immediately; read no further; you just might croak.

For those of you who can appreciate a beautiful woman taking control of an equally exotic machine, go ahead and relax... Go put on some music... Go get something to drink, go 'head, i'll wait... :-)

Done...?

Good...

For those of you who've sat in the passenger's seat of a sports car while some beautiful woman took the wheel, you know exactly where i'm coming from... The whole concept of it is just intense; i still have this school boy grin on my face... :-)
First, let's note that a new K&N filter was just put into the car only minutes before we left. The engine was just begging to sing; and sing, it did. Andrea was already in the car when i got in. i gentley closed the door and she expertly backed the car down the driveway, into the street, where Dwight was waiting. Onward he drove as we followed; an azzurro blue 328GTS and a Durango were in the rearview mirror.
It was a Sunday afternoon; the sun was shining as we drove through town. The beautiful countryside turned to a blur when the road opened up and Andrea 'put her foot down', so to speak...

The whole experience was intoxicating... Andrea is no stranger to taking the reigns of the Testarossa. i was short of breath when the engine screamed when she down shifted; when she chirped the tires; when the double yellow line broke and she downshifted and passed whatever was in front of us... She tried talking to me - correction: she didn't try, she DID talk to me while she was driving, but i couldn't hear a word she said; i was entranced in this hazy spell of being on the edge of reality... Were i able to muster the energy, i would've pinched myself to make sure i wasn't dreaming. Alas, my brain was too cloudy trying to process the unfolding dream before me: sitting in a gorgeous car, next to a gorgeous woman, the gorgeous scenery gorgeously melting as Andrea got gorgeous with the loud pedal... It was all so intense and relaxing at the same time...

She was so non chalant about it, like it was her everyday car... She had no trouble with the clutch, no trouble shifting it into second, no trouble handling the car, even when it rained...

The ride continued as she effortlessly wound the car about the road's curves, dropping the gear, mashing the gas and moving everything in front of us, behind us. Then she said something i was actually able to remember:
"i don't really wanna get on it since it's been a while since i've driven it..."
NO WAY!, i thought... Coulda fooled me...! The ride continued, every detail so perfect; i was in heaven. The pace slowed as we entered another town and soon pulled over for ice cream... Yeah, ice cream... but my mind was still on the awesome drive we just had. Sigh...
