I think I'm planning on the Euro car show at taste of Addison on Sunday and then that next weekend is a SCCA Regional/National at TWS.

Rob,

Looks like your wipers were working during your shunt at Hallet! Are you going to MSR w/PCA May 18&19?

Does posting pictures use up your available memory, or do you mind if we "post away"?

Ahhh, Ben, Mr. Smarty pants. ;) I already took this in account, I won't tell you the magic number, but the standard 640 by 480 pics that digital cameras take will fit fine.

Rob,

Suggestion or clairification...

Should make the image limit 641 x 481, so that users can post 640x480 (a standard size for web pix) without doing a resize.

The way I read your post, images that are 640x480 would have to be resized to 639x479 to make them work. Should be equal to or less than 640 and 480, rather than just less than. Make sence or am I just splitting hairs? No, I haven't tried/tested it, just reading what you wrote.

Also why is there a height limit? shouldn't it just be a limit on pics 481+ pixels wide only? The only concern (other than file size) is horizontal scroll, unless there is something else....

That's memory wise, but it doesn't do it for pixel dimensions yet.

Every time I post a picture that is too big it says so.

I just confirmed with several users that the problem with their pics not appearing was because the pics were larger than 640 by 480 pixels.

It won't let you post them, but doesn't tell you why. It may take several weeks for there to be a fix where it will actually tell you what's wrong.

But anyway, the good news is there won't be as many threads that you have to scroll way over on.

Uploading pictures is working fine. However, I've implemented a new feature to help eliminate or minimize the problems with the horizontal scroll bar coming up on some threads with pics.

Now, not only does the pic have to be less than 170k, it has to be less than 640 by 480 pixels.

Although, if you don't put carriage returns between each pic, it will still go out sideways and the horizontal bar will appear.
