You and me both, Jim. My 328 was delivered at 8:30 in the morning, and by noon the next day I was on my third tank of gas! |

I drove my car 700 miles the day after I bought it! Just take oil, coolant, and a cell phone. |

It must be a blast to fly fighter jets. They must pull some crazy g's. It;s not fun when they are above like 4. |

Thanks a million for the advice. I know I am a bit nervous about driving it on trips. Y'all are right though. Kind of silly to baby the car too much. I will let you know how the trip is. Thanks again, Glen |

Here is how I see that downside to the "Low Miles"-crap: The guy you bought it from bought if for $ 70,000 or $80,000, had it for a number of years, did not drive it ever and lost $20,000 in value plus the interest over all these years, another $ 20,000 to $30,000 if he would have invested in something better! If he would have driven the car 30,000 Miles more the car would have had 40,000 Miles and the value would have been lets say $ 10,000 less. So 30,000 Miles for $ 10,000 to me sounds like a great trade off. |

Glen, I put 5 miles on mine every time I have to go to the corner 7-11. Look at it as if you're the one who finally rescued this car, and now it can be driven the way it was intended. |

Your car will run better after a 300+ mile trip. It's good for it. |

Nugget - I used to feel the same way - very miles conscious. But, after having my 328 for 7 months now, I feel very different. You bought the car to enjoy, not park in the garage so you can tell everyone you have one. My guess is, it won't change its value, if you ever sell it, you'll get your money back - there are plenty out there who want that car no matter how many miles you have on it! The best trip I had was the one driving it back from Las Vegas to San Deigo! Drive, my son. |

Agree with all that say, just drive it. I was thinking of doing the trailer thing but after a few long trips (200 to 300 miles) that went very smooth and were so much fun, I parked that idea. As everyone else has said, drive it, drive it, drive it :-) |

See Glen, that is what I was talking about. You buy a low miles car and now you worry about driving it. What is the purpose of that? I look forward to the days when I can put more miles on my car. I go grocery shopping in it for crying out loud!

Congrats Glen, F-16s and a 328...rough life Drive the car to the mountains. That's why it has an engine and wheels. Plus, since it has low miles it could use the workout. |

glen welcome to our ferrari community and good luck on your new purchase. To sound the same as our ferrari brothers ans sisters(nika), ferraris are meant to be driven instead of being trailer hump-backs or garage queens. Drive your car, every mile is a joy, and you will get comfortable with your car...dont be afraid to drive it and put miles on it...enjoy....... bruce |

Agree will all posters here. Nothing like a good 300 mile Italian tuneup to get your 328 ready to deliver maximum fun in the mountains! Drive it up & back, Glen. Be one with your car. Ferraris are meant to be DRIVEN! |

The worst thing about a Ferrari on the interstate is you can't speed, especially in Arizona, without risking a ticket. So you feel a little foolish getting passed by diesel Hyundai's. If you really want to go on some funky roads, go through Prescott and Jerome. |

Glen, Just drive the car. It's good for it and you'll get to know the car better. A 400-500 mile day trip is great! P.S. 57.5K is just fine. 89 328's are great cars. Dave |

I want to take my 328 up to some great mountain roads up in Sedona but that is about 150 miles each way from Phoenix to get there. I don't really want to put 300 miles on my car just to get to the great roads. Does anyone have any suggestions for putting it on a trailer and towing it up there behind my truck? Has anyone done this kinda thing before or am I just off my rocker with it? I don't want to waste miles driving on a 4 lane highway. Any tips would be helpful. Also, I asked for help on buying a 1989 328GTS with 10,800 miles on it a few weeks ago. Thanks to all for the advice. I bought it last week for 57.5 with the 30k service and belts, car covers and seat covers. If that isn't a good price...don't tell me, it's too late. I am really looking forward to joining the club, a dream for 20 years to own a Ferrari. |
