Come on, post the Scuderia Vilamoura. Najib, really nice car. I like the tb the most out of the 348s, 355s, 360s, although the targas are a close second. You'll have a lot of good times ahead. |

Hey, most of us have other cars that we drive and some collect others. In this Chat we do not discriminate against other makes. Feel free to post your photos. I'd love to see them. |

Amanullah, First of all I am sorry to have frightened you. I just wanted to encourage you to do it ...and the result is fantastic. I love the interior of your 348. About my cars, I started a collection on 1978, buying one examplar almost everyear. Today I have 15 nice pieces(at least for me). My earliest car is a beautiful 1926 Bentley 3 litre. I do not post here any of the pictures of my beauties because the Ferrari team will not like it, but if you are interested I may post them privatly. That photo in my profile is at my home in Vilamoura and it is just an everyday carport, which means that those are the cars I am driving at that particular moment. If I would take a photo today....it would be completly diferent :-) My stables are about +-18 Km away from me and it is where I keep all my "CROWN JEWELS" away from strange eyes. |

Thanks Martin. I would like any info possible please. Also might have to trouble you for a copy of your maintenance manual although I have asked the dealer to send this to me. Here in Saudi Arabia people do not look after cars so an enthusiast has to make sure he knows the problems and symptoms to get the dealers to sort them out. The dealer in CH keeps assuring me the car is in mint condition and as you said, all the photos support this claim. He has also offered free technical advice. The clutch etc. has been tested and is working at 92% efficiency. Basically he assured me that I should not have too many problems for the next 3 years. Here's looking forward to that!!!! |

Najib; the interior looks crisp, I love it! The Challenge cars had the 320HP engine already. That was one thing that was never disclosed to the US DOT and EPA when they imported the Challenge Limited Edition. Yes, if it is a true Challenge you should have these mounting holes, that are covered with a plastic cover and there is a modification in the doors as well. The hook up points for the roll bar are done and you would just have to screw the roll bar in. If you want I can forward a e-mail address from a 348 Challenge (Street Version) owner that can e-mail you all the info on the car. I am sure you are all excited about the car, and you should be. |

Vilamoura, I typed it exactly as you said but I think there was something wrong with either my internet server or the site server. And don't frighten me about the car before I get to enjoy it.!!! By the way you have some very desirable cars in your stables judging by the photo on your profile. Here goes one more attempt at the only other decent pic I have. The others are only close ups of the exhaustpipes, underside etc. to show the condition of the car.

FYI only 348s made after October 1993 had the 320hp engine. Earlier GTB/GTS and Spiders still had the 295hp, 300hp or 312hp engine depending on the particular engine. At least that's the info I have read from various books on the subject. |

Martin This car also has the Challenge logo at the back and has many modifications carried forward from the Challenge series including the colour coded skirts and the cut outs for mounting racing harnesses (minus the harnesses). I dont think the Challenge cars had the uprated 320 bhp engines which came later with the Spider and GTS/GTB versions.

Are you sure about the fact that this is a Challenge? My car says Challenge in the back but is not. (previous owner), has the lower part painted in body color and the top as well. Looks like your car but without the side marker ;-)) |

What ca I say....CONGRATULATIONS ! The Challenge Series was always my first choice. I was negotiation for a yellow 348 Challenge with the street package. When I thought I had a deal the guys wife decided not to sell before autumn when their 360 arrived. I wanted to drive my 348 for only 6 months and sell it then buy his car but go so close to my car that I could not sell it after all. You will love the car. Hope you got a great price. Again, congrats. Post a picture once you have it. We love to hear from you and see your new aquisition. |

I guess the Challenge specification is legal for road use where you live, or do you plan to race it? |

Hi Vilamoura2002 Actually I am currently working in Saudi Arabia so Switzerland is a good place to buy cheap Ferraris (lower car tax). Also their car have done lower miles for the same price as cars in Germany, France or Italy and most of them have impeccable service history. I was looking at some Spiders as well, more expensive though plus they are not suitable for the extremely hot sun and sand here. I have been monitoring used car sites for some 1 year before taking the plunge. |

Amanullah, Welcome to the Ferrari Team. You will love your Ferrari as much as we love ours. I wish you luck. I can imagine how nervous you will be when driving your Ferrari for the 1st time.... Did you come from USA to CH to buy your car? Why? Post a photo as soon as you have. |

Hi All I've just finalised the purchase of my first Ferrari from Switzerland. Was looking for 348's for some time now and although I wasn't going to buy one for 2 years (that was the plan) I caught the fever and now it all done. New baby expected to be delivered in approximately 6 weeks time (Red/Cream) 1994 348TS Challenge with original factory colour coded targa. The owner was negotiating with me for almost 2 months but just when I thought we had a deal he "sold" it. I was quite "p---ed off" and told him so. Turns out he traded it in for a Maserati at the official dealer. So the dealer and I got talking and we did the deal. Having spoken to all parties who had owned/maintained the car, it sounds in very good condition. Has been described as "mint" by two of them. I will be the third owner, the first guy had it for only 2,500 kms. It has all the services performed by the original dealer who supplied the car and has covered 49,000 kms (30,000 mls. approx.). I am getting 3 months engine, gearbox etc. Ferrari warranty - all major parts covered. Have seen several photos but because of the recent problems with flying, haven't seen or driven the car yet. I am quite excited about the prospect of driving it as you can all imagine. I want to thank Len Soccolich, Reiner Kaiser and Martin (Miami 348TS) for their input and for convincing me on buying the 348. |
