It is a 250 GT convertible, available in many formats, from pure race to race/street, to luxurious street-only. Some were all alloy, some were steel body/alloy doors and hoods, all initially used the 240 hp 250 GT engine. These were big cars built at Luigi Chinetti's urging in long wheelbase from 1957-60, and short wheelbase 1960 to 1962(swb models got the bigger 330 engine), specifically for the California market, hence the name.

Only 100 or so made, so originals are phenomenally expensive ($1,400,000 and up), and even knock-offs done on a 250GT donor command well over a hundred thousand. Absolutely beautiful car.
