Looks like a 308GTB with a streched body Also the GTO gas swollen fenders for racing slicks. Uses a 2.88 twin turbo V8 positioned longitudinally instead of transverse as in the 308. Regarded as nearly unbreakable |

Type in 288 GTO in Yahoo and you will get a few sites with nice pictures. This car is the first modern limited edition car from Ferrari. 272 units were built between 1984 and 1985. It was supposed to compete in Group B rally racing against the Porsche 959. Later, it evolved into the F40. |

I frequently see the 288 GTO mentioned. The Ferrari NA site on older vehicles is down. What is the 288 GTO, does anyone have any pictures, and are there any web sites? Thanks, Dave |
