IMHO Stramen of California does the best conversions in the U.S.A. Their Daytona Syder conversions are hard to tell from the real thing. But, a Spyder conversion does not increase the cars' value and may decrease it in certain situations. |

R Straman Co in CA still does conversions on most any car. A TR will run u $50k, a 550 will cost $75k. Of course these days u may b able to find a TR already done for $50k |

Loss of value (monetary)is more than the cost to convert. Hard to sell a converted coupe that was not meant to be spyder. Enter such a deal knowing that if you ever want to sell you will lose. But on the other hand if the car speaks to you and you will keep it then buy it and enjoy it. |

I occassionally see that some Ferrari's can be converted to Convertiables or spyders. Who does this? What models can be converted? How does it turn out? About how much does it cost? Thanks, Dave |
