Bret,
the 2 condition I can only guess. I do not have the manual how to judge in a concourse. I guess there are very minor flaws with the car. Little cratches in the clear coat, almost normal with any car Likely deliverd that way by Ferrari and never detailed professionally.

Dr. Martin;
I have no clue why I do that sometimes. Trying to do 10 tings at the same time in the office makes me go GAGA.

I agree that the car shuld be driven. I have stopped feeling guilty about it. Since the 30K inspection I am going growcery shopping in it. This morning I will take the ride to the Golf Course and will arrive with a smile on my face. After I have frustrated myself for the next 4 1/2 hours I will then receive a few more minutes of therapy and arrive home happy again.

You are absolutly right Frank.
The little experience I have with Ferraris tells me that the daily use of a Ferrari makes it better and better. Everything gets better!
The 328 I own was almost a queen when I bought (+-21000 Km), gears were impossible to deal with......
I have been driving everyday +- one hour. Now it is really fantastic, everything works as it should work on a Ferrari. So, I think that a well daily driven Ferrari should worth more and less problems occur.

This actually turned out to be a pretty funny post. How true Frank. You only live once so enjoy it.

Martin what's a 2 condition mean? I see that in a couple ads.

On that note Frank -

I've seen Nick Scianna's 180,000+ mile 308 and I hear of an '85 TR in the SoCal area with 260k on the clock. Those horses are riden daily.

And these people that don't drive their cars as God and Enzo intended are what hurts us real enthusiast when we try to sell our cars and are told that 15,000 miles on a 7 year old car is "high mileage". I received an e-mail from a Robert Wiesenthal, who must be a car dealer on Ferrarichat who said Ferraris with over 10,000 miles are "almost worthless" . I wish us enthusiast would all take a stand on this and refuse to allow this to go on. My over decade long experience in owning Ferrarisis that the lower mileage the car, the more promblems you have. I think it would be great to tell a dealer or other seller when offered a 10 year old car with 5,000 miles, "don't you have something with 25,000 miles or so, I really don't want a potentially problem car like this " . And in reality the seller really loses too with low mileage cars. Think about it. Two people buy new 348s on the same day. One drives his 5000 miles a year for five years. The other puts 5000 miles on his car in five years. Now they both sell their cars on the same day. The 25,000 mile car for $75,000.00 and the 5000 mile car for $80,000.00. Don't you think the 25,000 mile owner got much more than $5,00.00 in FUN out of his car ? I think the 5000 mile car owner has been ripped off in a sense as he paid the same cost,insurance,ect, and all his car did was occupy garage space most of the time. And the new owner of the 5000 mile car is going to be screwed too once he drives it a few miles and things start going wrong. Well , I've vented now and feel better.

How true....
you must be a frist class mor** to own a car 2 years and just move it in your garage, then let it only get a 2 condition and not accept more than list price on a not so hot item anymore in a rapidly falling market.

It seems that the good news is that if you're a buyer prices are going down, but if you're a seller, the bad news is prices are going down.

Check out the latest FML for an interesting editorial on the lastest in Ferrari pricing. The latest issue contains the most classifieds in 25 years - though there are explainations for that other than people panic selling. Also some good comments on a recent auction- of note

a 360 Modena, S/N ZFFYR51A1X0118129. Red/Tan. Unrestored original, 2 condition. 248 miles. Not selling this car for a $177K bid wasn't very clever. However that pales in comparison with owning it for two years and driving it only 248 miles.
