Paul and Martin,

Isn't the width of the 348 and 355 identical (as per FNA 74.8"). If a 355 fits, so should a 348. The width of the 348 and 355 is 74.8" and the Uhaul trailer is 76.

Paul what did you have to do to get the car on the trailer.

Before I bought my trailer I put my 355 Challenge on a U-haul trailer several times. I had to cut two 2x12s (stacked) for the front tires to ride-up on to keep the front bumper from hitting the lip Martin talked about. I also had to position some other lumber under and leading up to the ramps to get the angles right for loading.

The back tires rubbed but just did fit in terms of width.

Best of luck.

I actually measured the U-haul trailer and their may weith is 76 inches. Your rear max is 76 inches as well, so truely it will not fit.

Whatever you rent or not rent, make sure that you look at the trailer careful. If you get one of the U-haul type wioth the two rails to drive on, they have two small lips to the inside and if you catch them with the dront bumper, the buzmper is gone....trust me, done that last sunday! You may have to build a better ramp for on and off the trailer made from 2x12. Also try to get it on the trailer backwards.

Where to rent ? I borrowed the one from my neighbor. He has a better one that is 80'' wide, like most manufacturers make them today. If you buy one buy one with a full bed instead of the two ramps.

I would try Armada Van rentals. You can rent a large dually pick up and a nice trailer for a couple hundred.

If you want someone to do it for you, try Horseless Carriages or Passport Transport.
