I just got the outdoor cover straight from BMW. It's a great cover with attached bag and a clear pane for license plate. I think it was about $250 4 years ago.

Martin, I had an e36 M3 coupe, It was a fantastic car. I never owned a convertible so even though the performance figures are a bit less on the cabrio, and I do love the lines of the coupe, I am going to get the cabrio just because a convertible is a convertible is a convertible. The top down and a nice blonde next to me sounds deliciouse..

Leo,
The m3 is a great everyday toy.Performance in sport mode is exceptional (4.7/13.1),steering and suspension perfect.Only disclaimer is, 6 spd is a little notchy with long throws.I ordered the a.c. schnitzer faux-aluminum pkge ( pedals, dash and doors, gear shift and hand brake) which should dress up the staid bmw interior.Make sure you get the hk sound system,xenon,6 cd changer (must be a bmw tried after mkt =ng,sun roof.
My buddy who drives competitively and has a 348 challenge and a souped up viper drove it and was impressed enough to consider ordering it.I am so disappointed however with the gearbox that if I was considering buying one now I think I'd go with a 2002 seq paddle tranny.

Martin, how do you like your M3, I was thinking of buying a m3 cabrio new and waiting for the 355 to drop and buy one when they reach 348 prices.

Need a rec for a relatively inexpensive car cover for rainy Oregon winter.360 stays in and wife and I fight for other space in 2 car garage. She wants to extend the garage or build some kind of carport.I figure a car cover is cheaper.
