Happens to the best of us Dan! The usual process (works quite well actually.) is to fill with body filler, sand and reshoot the wheel or part of the wheel. I am not sure if the 550's wheels are powdercoated, this may present a bit of a problem, or it may not. Since my scuffing came from the track, I decided to leave it as some sort of bizzare 'badge of honor' (at least, that's what I tell myself!) The brake dust is there on purpose too. Not because I'm lazy. ... Best! Ben. |

Dan/Darryl. The place in Walnut Creek is called Rite Way Wheels. The owner is Jose. He charged me $75 for the repair and wheel balance. There is only one thing you should know: Most places (Rite Way included) just repair, PAINT, and CLEAR the wheel. My 355 wheel (and yours as well) are powder coated. Do you want your wheel painted or powder coated? My painted wheel looks 100% perfect and a lot cheaper as well.

Dan, There is a place in Walnut Creek (have to check invoice at home -don't remember the name) I took my Mercedes to a couple of times and they did a great job. If you need another source, let me know. |

Thanks Noel, In a bone-headed move, I left the rim when I dropped off the car at FoSF service yesterday. They have a specialist who supposedly comes in and does excellent work, but Wheel Techniques' reputation is definetly hard to beat. Now the question is whether I am too lazy to get off my ass, drive up to San Rafael, then down to Campbell! --Dan |

Guys, Silly thing, scuffed the front right (passenger) rim. First time I've done this, curious if anyone knows of a good shop to fix it. Supposedly there's a great shop in Campbell somewhere, but I don't know who / where exactly. Thanks, --Dan |
