We have a brake shop lift in our garage. It lifts the car about 2 and a half feet off the ground and is made by Rotary. It picks up the car at four points and works well on all cars. Our MAC Tools man helped us locate this lift and it has worked out good for us. The good point is that you can put it in an existing garage without raising the ceiling. The bad point is you still have to crawl under the car and the structure of the lift makes this hard at times. This is not a drive on lift but more of a drive over. You then move the arms to the pick-up points. It has served our needs well. Hope this info. helps |

I don't have one yet, but from my auto tech courses at the community college, the one's I like best are the 2 post ones with the 2 arms on each side that adjust to your lift points. I like these because they don't get in the way. The drive on lifts don't let you take the wheels off. |

As anyone purchased a lift for the garage? If so what are the best ones, 2 post, 4 post, scissor, etc. It would be great to have the car up a few feet to better work on it. Any info. would be appreciated ..... Gary |
