It seems that no matter what you right someone will think they know better,,, I was at Shelton when they got their fresh first 360 delivery and there were about 4 or 5 360s and they were not sold yet, thier asking prices were around $134,000 to $144,00 not sure which. The thing I hate is that I didn't buy one then. And that is that. |

Ralph, yes they are just truly toys and yeah heavy too but for the street it does plenty fine for me. Like I said before I didn't buy my 99 for it's performance only but more for the experience and it's looks. Worth it? hell, how many people on earth could say I own or owned one let alone a Ferrari? I don't want to go overboard like getting a McLaren or Enzo since it's street practicality is pretty much useless for what they are. If I had plenty of money to burn then that would be different but I just don't see that happening to me anytime soon. After facing reality of how I now want to live I'm starting to loose interest on the high dollar cars since I don't do as much driving as before. I like a nice comfortable & powerful street car like a CL600 or better yet CL65, these are the only cars I have in mind for my next vehicle over anything I can possibly think of. I can't say after that but my 99 isn't replaceable by anything I could afford so it's on the top list of my liking. You know personally I have to say truly it depends on your situation, for me the only way I'd buy a Ferrari again, I would buy a used one and use it for track only and not the street when I gather some more expendable money. Esp. after owning my last one and fixed it up for track, I could not control myself to drive sanely enough for the street and I romp on it every damn time I take it out so I learned something out of this experience. I drive my cars purposely so to speak. |

Modman: you have some very valid points. Driving a car with flashbulbs going off at night? Sounds like you would just keep driving if you see a really bright lite ~ like in Terminator 3 ? LOL. All these street cars are way too heavy to be considered serious track contenders. Purchase whatever appeals to you emotionally. They are nothing but toys in reality.

Allan- I for one love the diablo! Ferraris may be the most beautiful cars made on Earth, but stand next to a Diablo and you'll swear it's from friggin MARS! To me, there is no question that Lambos are more 'exotic' than their Ferrari counterparts. Stand behind a Diablo, and just look at the curves from up-close. It's funny, because even though they look, well, almost 'tame' next to a Lambo, I generally like the looks of Ferraris much better. They're more 'me' and that's just it. Ferrari also has that 'feel' to their cars, low, taught, light, 'ready' to duke it out. I can't comment on Lambo's tacticity, because, sadly, never driven a Diablo! (have gotten to see a few run up close though, very very cool.) Best! Ben. |

I like the 6.0 interior better than my 99, more refined, very clean. I've not heard of any Diablo having a timing chain replaced yet and that's considering the majority of them and I have to admit it has been a very trouble free car for me. I bought mine knowing I had decisions of whatever was near that price range and the 360 spyder was the only car I had in mind to choice after. Now here is what made my decision, I wasn't going after the fastest or a car for holding it's value as the 360 spyder at the time I purchased my 99 was way overpriced over sticker so I didn't see it happening. Yes I also had the knowledge the 360 is more of an everyday car over a Diablo but I already knew this car would be an occasional drive for the weekends and besides I knew if I did drive the exotic everyday I would get tired of it, I know myself that there will be no car on earth to this day that I really love to have over any car so putting reality together I buy an exotic for it's looks over the performance, face it guys did most of you buy your Ferrari for it's performance? I didn't, I don't care how damn great a car performs, if I'm spending a ton of money the car better look great to me. I have another car for performing and it does a great job at it. That said you can look a decade over and the Diablo will always be something that can not be overlooked, now some may have their difference but reality speaks that for the money, there is no car more exotic, personally I can't think of one. Hey if I had the extra cash yes I would probably get the 360 spyder but now I don't even come close to considering one since I have no need for one. I already have a car I can track and don't have to worry much about crashing it like I would a car over 100k. I like my 99 sometimes and sometimes I don't, I don't like it sometimes when I'm on the freeway, traffic slows down to look at it or when I get people crowding in to take a look at it. I get people taking pictures of my 99 everywhere I go and especially at night I get these flases on the side and notice that it was the flash of a camera, those are the only cases sometimes I don't like to be looked at or bothered but hey that comes with any exotic car so I live with it for now, if I don't like it then I'll just stick with my Benzes. No way, I've done that before, I have to have my exotic, it's been in me since youth and that will never change. No one can truly state which is a better car based on their own opinion and I knew that, so how I made my judgement was to just experience it for myself, I have to admit that there are times that I had some awesome encounters while driving the 99 and a decade down the road it would still be the same. The 348 I had got old real fast and it was easily mistaken for another make and among other things did not please me overall although there were some things I did like of it. I hope this had inspired some reality of these exotics. |

Ferrucio was defintatly Lamborghini's Father. Even though Lamborghini has had many influinces since. Although if you get the Diablo many 360 owners will be calling you Daddy. LOL..........Its a joke no flames please.

Allan, I always loved the LP400 as it seemed to be a "stripped of everything unneccessary", mean, drivers car. I've never driven one so no experience with them whatsoever but what makes it so bad compared to the Diablo? Jack |

In 99, 360's were not selling for sticker, but 100,000 over sticker. 99's are not worth 140,000 now, so those owners lost 100,000+ depreciation. Same thing with the poor bastards that paid 325,000+ for Spyders. As for the DIablo being heavy as hell, well that depends what your comparing it to. If to a Lotus Elise, then yes, if its a Ferrari 550/575 then no. Having owned a Countach and Diablo, i can tell you first hand, having both in the garage, you would never drive the Countach. |

I would post a pic of Mr. Lamborghini but it gets a little confusing who Lambos founders are. Mr. Lambo quit making cars in the early 70s and decided to devot his time to wine making, and Lambo car company was sold to the French (of course) Mimram co, then it gets confusing with many bankruptcy's, Chrysler(Mr. massive ego Iaccoca), Audi, ect, so technically all Lambos since the Miura are Bastards since they "don't know who their Daddy is" |

I didnt buy any of the 360's that shelton ferrari had in thier showroom back in '99. Their sticker prices were around $134,000 to $144,000. If this is the case the '99 360's are selling for what their original owners paid for, that said they aren't droping anything they are worth now what they were at first, it is only now that they will start to go down in value. What second market was doing is making many rich boys but not realy ferrari men to make money out of other people desperation to own one. A lamborghini clutch job is around $8,000 and thats just the clutch, I know they don't have timing belts but chains also don't last forever. The diablo is a nice looking car and very fast, but it is not as pure as brutal as exotic nor as charismatic as the countach. Also the diablo is heavy as hell. If it was my place I would buy a countach for $65,000 and the other $85,000 for a 355B or a 512TR, also a early diablo for $100,000 and the other $50,000 for any other like a down in a testarossa or get a 328, 308, or a 993 widebody, 996 with no payments in any. Also this way if you care about depreciaton it wont be a big hit. |

My wifes latest deal is that if i dont like the Ferrari, we can buy her a Diablo Roadster. I think we'll keep the Ferrari for now. Oh almost forgot, she wants a yellow H2 now also, but not instead off, in addition to. |

Ralph: I assume you're talking about your bride. They seem to take umbrage when you bring home an exotic. Unless your wealth is such that it isn't an issue, there is always another place to spend the money. Better to make a deal, one at a time. Art |

Both the 360 and the Diabolo are obviously very different cars. Can you take both ? I have already been warned about buying another toy. They all seem to want to be informed "BEFORE" you purchase. All we want to do is to drop them the bad news when they are in a good mood. LOL So I will take the yellow one "and" the red one. |

You got it Ernesto! Do yourself a favor and stop bringing up my father since he passed away 6 years ago. I prefer to spend my time driving my cars, not playing with my 1:18 collection. And if you really do own a 360, and are so against being flashy, why did you buy a BRIGHT YELLOW 360? To blend in? lol |
