Snap-on and Mac tools both have the socket and is a high quality item. If you see one of their trucks servicing the trade, then just pull over and buy one off the truck. |

If you can't find a 12mm or 14 mm hex key... use an old bolt with the proper head size. Clamp onto it with a vise grip. Heck, what do you think old Fiats and Yugos are for anyway... everybody should keep two or three around for spare metric fasteners! Steve 88 TR 86, 79, 77, 74 X1/9 61 Fiat 1200 Cabriolet |

Sears is where I found it. I had checked all of the Loews in my area and none of them had it. Then I checked all of the local hardware stores that seem to always have the odd tool. I had thought of sears but it is not a very big one and I figured if Loews dosn't have it little old Sears wouldn't. Well I called and they had one left. I asked the guy to hold it in case another Ferrari owner was on his way. I dropped what I was doing and ran up and got it. |

I found Sears to be really good for having odd-ball sizes like this. I was floored when I saw they had a 36mm six-point socket (for the front pulley on the engine) and it was only $9.99 Canadian! They also had the 12mm key, but to attach to a 3/8" ratchet and it too was pretty cheap. And these are good tools, I use their Quickwrenches at work and have held up under abuse. |

All I can is LOL when it comes to silly complaints about Ferraris. You could go on endlessly, some of the things they do are like incomprehensible. One of the guys that has had a whole bunch of exotics told me that the Italians get so much right on a car, but just don't give a sh*t about the details. Which is pretty true in many cases. I still love em though. Why do people smoke cigarettes? Why do people drive Ferraris? I think that the surgeon general might need to start putting warnings on the Fcars. |

Mark, So right, but then again we Ferrari guys don't know how good we have it...my maserati used a 14mm (might have even been 16mm) allen..when I sold the car recently those in the know made sure it was in the terms of sale! Forget finding one in a neighborhood store .. i ordered mine on the web from wahl tools. |

Why did Luigi decide to put screwdrivers (something available at the grocery store) in the tool-kit for a 308, but decide to not include a 12mm Allen head, to change the oil? |
