Plus if you obtain money like that, money that isnt legitimate, cant you not spend it? I thought if you go out and buy a really expensive car or something and according to income tax records, you dont have that money wouldnt that arouse suspicion? If someone is gonna commit a crime, thewy should at least do it right, like that mark rich guy, only dont get cought |

That is news to me. Last I have heard is that the Collection is owned by Ugo Columbo, one of the big developers here in Miami. He also races, or used to race Challenge cars. I believe that you will ind a higher than usual concentration of thugs in this part of the country. I have to admit that. Lts of tourists and that means lots to prey to the "one time dealers". Funny when you live in one place for a while and you read who went to jail for this and that. The owner of Prestige Imports was arrested some months back (he should have been a year before for not delivering my manual and keys) for ? guess....money laundring. Federal, great, these guys will make it stick. Another guy I knew well was a self proclaimed attorney that was handling and dealing in real estate. What he was doing is buying and selling large properties for investor groups and pocketing transaction fees. Just got arrested this week for a. not being an attorney in this country and b. defrauting hundreds of thousands of $$$s from the investors. What I am trying to say is, it just does not pay in the long run. Why having the extra money today when you have to spend it in legal fees after a few years? Sorry I got sideswiped on this topic, this should probably be in the Ferrari of NEw Englang Beware topic. |

William, This outta scare ya............ The Auto Toy Store....................IS the Collection!... A man named Anthony has bought all the 'toy stores' in the world. This includes the Aero toy store in Japan (planes), the Aqua toy store (guess), etc......Anyway, these stores are of one owner, many of which are now titled the Collection. World's largest Porsche 'collection', etc....... Peter W. (and his helper, Steve Levine), the former owner of the Toy Store is still around town and are re-affiliated with the Collection///// |

bob is the one that helped me. I don't think bad apples are confined to Florida, they are everywhere which is why I wanted to mention my minor but positive experience. Martin I will do business with you any time. |

Ouch guys; that hurts. I own a business in Florida for 8 years straigt and have yet to have a customer complain. That may be because I have a different business philosophy. As I said in some other threads to me the long run counts and will make you richer than going for the quick kill. Anyhow. The Collection is on Bird Road and US 1. Bon Metzler is the Service Manager at the Collection. He is a super nice guy and knows all his stuff. Very very educated in Ferrari. Nice to chat to and gives loads of help although I personally do not bring my car there. My mechanic in South Florida is Bacchus Auto Repair on Pembroke Rd just west of I95. Murry is a factory trained Lambo mechanic and has worked on many Ferraris. I have posted pictures of his show while my car was in recently for the 30K inspection. He is the nicest guy and works for $70/h and does not mind if you bring him parts. His phone: 954-981-5737 or fax: 954-981-8472 If you need any more help, please feel free to contact me. |

Florida is a tough State to do business in. Its because its so full of guys that moved down from NY and NJ and set up businesses |

Its rare to hear good things about a dealership in Florida. I'm leery when it comes to the state, I've been burned or ripped off with any business that resides in Florida, Too many shifty businesses just trying to make a fast buck. It's good for someone to report something positive for a change, I was fearing another AUTO TOY STORE story. |

Forgive if I am mistaken, but since I last lived in Miami the Collection was on Bird Road and (almost) US1 in Coral Gables, next to the VW dealer. Did they move it? Ernesto |

The Collection is in Ft. Lauderdale on Sunrise Blvd/U.S.1. If you were going to use a service dept. in FL, you'd be better off with Shelton Ferrari. Just my .02. |

Any of you FLA guys use The Collection for service, I think they are in coral gables. Anyway I just purchased a Ferrari without any service history prior to the owner I purchased from and he only had the car for two years. When I got the car I found a receipt from the collection under the floor mat. I called their service dept and they provided all the receipts for the prior owners services within a couple of hours - now I have over 5 years service history and found out I have a new clutch. furthermore no surprises. Thought it was nice for them to help me out especially since I am in NJ and will not use them for service. I just wanted to mention it. |
