Joe, I had written off a 348 GTS 1994. The front was smashed in. The estimated repair bill was 25,500 sterling. The car sold at Universal Salvage Ltd in the UK at 19,500 sterling and was done up. The owner has spent another 15,000 sterling doing it up. Also, Ferrari will not give you the jigging measurments if the work is not being done by a main authorised dealer. All jigging measurments are held with Ferrari and no other repair garage. My 348 was driveable but Maranelleo wanted 25,000 to repair it and the guy that bought it had it repaired for about 15,000 pounds. It needed jigging only slightly so they pulled it at a rough guess, because Ferrari did not give him the measurments. It was believed that my 348 GTS did not need jigging, but the targa top did not fit properly after the accident, the pillar had sprang. IT did and this cost money to do it right. The Ferrari hit another car from behind doing 30 MPH only( well I hit it another story). I have see clean good low mileage LHD 355 GTS for 35,000 sterling in the UK. Not worth repairing, plus it might be on the register as having had a accident. If so you will not be able to sell it easily. Stay clear from it. |

Any idea why it wasn't fixed yet if those estimates are accurate? |

if its on the HPI list between 30 and 35K, at that sort of money when you sell it on you'll be getting people looking at 348's looking at it, any more than 35k and your looking at scruffy 355's if its not on the list 40k all day long!! post some pic's when you get back |

Joe, is it on the HPI list? oh and is it left or right hand drive, spiders seem to start in LHD at 40k with RHD kicking in at 45k if the cars on the list then it seems that its about 30% off normal market value are you sure about the 3.5K parts price (and are they on the shelf?)
