To me, the 360 is one of those RARE cars that looks better as a convertible. The 360 spider, IMO, is stunning. The coupe ...not so much. Not at all, really.

Luke.

Unless you MUST have a rag top, get a 550 or 575. It's much more car and better looking IMHO. Plus, it has 12 cylinders !

I have the 360 spider with a Tubi, and I can carry on a normal conversation with my passenger without raising my voice. The cockpit is actually very quiet with the top down, and the rear screen between the rollover bars drops wind noise to almost nothing.

As far as track- I have tracked the spider a few times and it's a wonderful track car, but if you do it often you better upgrade the brakes to racing standard.

I tried the coupe first, but there is nothing like an open-air 360. As Ferris Bueller said "if you have the means I highly recommend it". Unfortunately, unless you are on the list and got your number you will pay 40-50k over MSRP for a spider. There just aren't enough to go around.

Too loud - in STOCK guise?
Wrong target demographic.... the average man would guess by your comment that you are over 70!
I'm sure you're not!

That is funny, top or no top, it's a Ferrari, you still get over 90db anyway and besides that's one of the reasons for buying a Ferrari and it's for the noise it makes. Also spyder or coupe, you can track either one and besides most exotic car owners don't put their cars to the limit anyway, if they did most of them would have experienced at least a couple of their own wrecked Ferrari or Ferraris. Funny, just because you put a # sticker on your car doesn't mean you qualify as a true experienced race car driver. I don't consider myself as an experienced race car driver but so stupid when I was at the last track meet a lot of these yuppy guys in their high dollar F-cars, Porsches, and so on kept getting in my way and were not even pushing them halfway to their limits but I can understand if it's their first experience at it but I spoked with a couple people who have been at the track before and that just tells me something. But getting back to the subject, I like the spyder better only with the top down, get the coupe if you don't have much of nice weather. Also spyders are a lot more expensive nowadays and you could almost get 2 coupes for the price of a spyder with a little extra on hand you make one a real track car and the other for the road or make it a spare if you wreck the first one.

Basically, it came down to my weather situation. Here in Indiana a spider would be a great car 3 months a year. Our winters are not great for any ssports car let alone a spider. When the temp rises above 85 they are really hot. The noise level didn't bother me. I hear that the Tubi sounds greater and louder in the spider.

Alberto: If you feel you will get used to and enjoy the sound level in teh Spider, go that way; if you feel you will not get used to the sound level, go with the coupe.

I have driven both at length and and they are both great cars. However, I prefer the coupe partially because I take my cars to the track and as a result, coupes have always appealed to me. The spider is my favourite convertible to date, though.

I love the spider, but i think that the level of sound into the car is high. I would like to know if the top reduce tolevel of MUSIC.
For me the spider is more agressive for 3/4 rear.
Have you dirven the spider and coupe?
