some pix from the Hulman Suites & from the Penthouse Paddock. Great locations! One is with Michael at the fence with his helmet still on, just before he took it off & waved to the crowd.

I was at the race as well. I got to hang out in the Ferrari Hospitality area on Friday and Sunday. Needless to say, I saw or met pretty much everyone you would expect, including Sir Jackie Stewart, Phil Hill, Bernie Ecclestone (was standing next to him in a bar the night before, I think he was stalking me ;-)...), and both Ruebens and Micheal. Also got some pretty intimate looks at the garage and pit area, including the "NASA" area in the back (normally off limits to tours) where they dowload all the data from the car's sensors. The whole thing blows my minf, even though I did it last year too. Here is one of the pics I took (I hope it posts). BTW, I was in Tower Suite 33, right accross and left a bit from those pics at the bottom of this thread. \IMAGE |

Dave, I thought the seats were pretty good. First hand for the start, pits, and awards stand. Turn 1/2 you could see if standing up. I still want to try for Turn 1 tickets next year though. We were Paddock Penthouse box 20. |

No, just that I would IMHO prefer someone more familiar with F1 and road racing. I'm sure he's great for Indy and a nice guy. Nothing I think will do anything about it. |

Is Parker Johnston the one with a smooth good voice that didn't know anything about F1 or road racing? I imagine the person is very famous for announcing the Indy 500 and got roped into doing this job. |

PS-You should see and hear the video! These pics were taken from the fence at the end of the back second straight (??). Just taken with my MPEG2videocam...sorry about the blur, but then again, it looks like they are moving!! |

I started the thread from the airport this morning in Indy. A couple of the captions were off, so I just updated the original message and here's one more pic. We won!

Had to miss out again, one of these days I will go. Since I don't have Speed channel, I had to hunt down a place to watch it yesterday. Every other bar in Houston was tuned to Football, so I ended up at Davey Jones KARTZONE. I almost missed to start of the race. Great pics Rob, looks like you guys had a blast again. |

We'll start a new thread just to collect everyone's pics from the weekend. Wow, what a great time. Great race watching, FerrariChat.com gatherings, and then Shuey winning from the 7th spot just about gave me heart problems from being so excited. Some of these are dups from the FerrariChat.com Gathering thread. Leaving Dallas Friday morning at sunrise.
Arriving into Indy over the track.
2nd Annual FerrariChat.com gathering at Capri.
Rob, Greg Scott, and Ron R at our Sunday seats.
The fly over by F-16's
Porsche Cup start
The F1 girls.
The grid.
Pitstop
Who's your daddy?
Ferrari thanks the fans.
