OK, I'll spill it. The difference between the F50's Tipo 130 engine and the F50GT's Tipo 130'a' engine. Both are 4.7litre motors, yet the latter makes 750bhp naturally aspriated at 10,000rpm. Best! Ben. |

I'd have to agree with Ben on this one. I'd find it hard to believe that it's a computer restriction only. 900HP without forced induction sounds like a lot of stress on the engine for a daily driven exotic. Ben what do you mean there is something strange with the F50 engine. The (stock) F50 Bob Norwood dynoed for John Carmack (ID CEO) came in at, way, below the factory numbers. I forgot the numbers but if you want proof I'll try to find the article. |

I dunno, 150bhp/litre NA is pretty 'high' for a street car. Then again, there's something very strange going on with Ferrari's Tipo130 and Tipo130a engines in F50s... Best! Ben |

I have heard that the Enzo's are restricted down to the 650 horespower by the computers. There is a story going around up here in Canada, that one fellow who bought one had the factory de-restrict his Enzo, before taking delivery. This made the engine give out almost 900 hp. Mind you this is just a rumor. But some how I can beleive that Ferrari put in these limits. |

Dan- I agree it's pretty darn silly, but I too reacted as follows to Jamil's post. "heh, yeah, twin turbo Enzo, hahahha... hrm.... oooo....." I could see a McLaren killer here pretty easially. Even a very low pressure system should be able to eek out an easy thousand horsepower (jesus.) And with the car's already huge brakes and downforce, well, er, hrmmm..... Most of the development would have to go into the traction control to keep the wheels from obliterating due to spin below 100mph. ;) Best! Ben. PS: I'd still like to see the Enzo loose about 700lbs... |

I already have an order for the Tubi Exhaust for the Enzo Ferrari - moreover Tubi Style have already supplied and directly fitted a few Tubis to a couple of discerning Enzo owners... (usually pre-delivery Enzos!!!) When I was in Italy in July - I saw this with my own eyes. The Tubi exhaust for the Enzo is made of inconel so it's pricey in relation to a Tubi for say a 360.. Also - just by looking at the muffler in the picture, the Tubi is one hell of a lot more aggressive. Dunno anything about the Koenig exhaust. All I do know is that his Ferrari F50 Racing Manifolds are actually Tubi Style items which he has advertised as his own.... Getting anything other than a Tubi is nothing more than a 'novelty' - it'll soon wear off. Andrew - let me deliver the system and I'll let you know ! |

I'd be interested to see just how much more they could get out of that engine, forced induction or not. The very idea of a twin-turboed F50, while immensly silly in all practical senses, is pretty cool. Can they do the same to this engine? Let's find out... Andrew: aren't the Tubis ~$30k? --Dan |

Wow, I didnt think a 3rd party would try making aftermarket (performance) products for the Enzo. I mean what can you do, everything is carbon fiber, and its a V12 660 HP engine. I guess thats why Koenig is sticking to exhaust (I assume just for a louder exhaust note) and air filter. Thats about the only thing they can do! I hope nobody turbocharges the Enzo.

Looks like they offer a "cheap" sport exhaust.. http://www.koenig-specials.com/ferrari/ferrari-enzo.html Will the Tubis be more expensive ?
