Matt, That's million not billion. And that is what they spent on the F1 budget. Not sure how much was sponsor money (assume more than half was). They are a big outfit and derive 1/3 of their revenue from non-motorsport related activities (commercial autos). Regards, Jon

William, If you are comparing Prodrive's value to the entire value of General Motors then it's no contests, however if you compare Prodrive to GM's racing arm Prodrive is actually ten times larger and spends much more on racing. Prodrive managed the WRC World Champion Subarus, currently manages the Honda BAR F1 team and runs the Prodrive 550's. It's estimated that the entire ProDrive organizations is worth at least a billion to a billion half. They spent an estimated $200,000-$250,000 million alone last year on BAR Honda (some of which is obviously sponsor money). They are no small outfit. In terms of comparing Prodrive to GM's Corvette raceing program Prodrive dwarfs them. See a profile of Prodrive: http://www.apax.com/EN/downloads/Prodrive_pdf_Apr_2002.pdf http://www.prodrive.com/defaultflash.asp?M=6 They have kicked ass in every motorsports arena they have entered in recent years bar F1 which may still happen. MURCIÉLAGO R-GT DEBUT IN OCT Tuesday 30th September Racing Lambo to hit the track in October The new Murciélago R-GT, launched recently at the Frankfurt Motor Show, was out on track for the first time last week in Vallelunga with test driver Dindo Capello at the helm. The roll-out on the first day was followed by two days of testing which ran smoothly. However, the availability of components from suppliers has resulted in a decision to give the Murciélago R-GT it’s first public outing at the Monza round of the FIA GT championship, 17-19 October. Capello, not surprisingly enjoyed his first stint in the new car and enthused, “There’s so much potential with the Murciélago R-GT. Within the limited testing time, we managed to complete many laps and to keep improving the car each time out .” A spokesbloke for Automobili Lamborghini, said, “The whole team has worked extremely hard to prepare the car for this first test within a relatively short time frame, but we agree with Reiter’s decision, due to the availability of parts, to be racing for the first time at Monza .” The Murciélago R-GT was developed in reaction to demand from customers who want to race Murciélagos. It's been developed jointly with race engineering company Reiter Engineering in Germany, and parent company Audi’s sports division, Audi Sport,
