Bill, you are correct those are the modular wheels which come as an option on the 02-03 models.

Mcharness,
I think those are the modular wheels that are available as an option on 360 coupes and spiders

I am sorry, but that guy is an absolute idiot....He may have the talent to play hockey and money to buy a 360 Modena, but to drive it like that makes no sense when he knows what a role model he is to many young fans....I hope he doesn't get his license back anytime soon....These guys are not real Ferrari drivers, they just have a lot of money to burn, what a shame.....

I used to live in the plantation condos--the road in front is very bumpy and has several large undulations...I have run my ferrari hard on this road and never come close to 80--at that speed he may have been airborn before the crash....

they showed different angles of the accident scene this morning on the news. it was definately a 360 spyder. it is a miracle these two are alive.

Mike, I've seen photos on the net today that show the front bumper (no longer attached to the car), dash, and interior door panel. It was definitely a 360 Spyder.

Yeah, all the reporting seems to say it's a 2001 360, but is it just me? Look at the wheels in the posting below and see if they don't look more like what comes with a 355.

Mike,

In the TV shots this morning (which led to my posting) the distinctive headrests of the 360 Spyder were quite evident. Later video showed an officer moving the torn lower front corner grille of a 360, so I'm quite sure of the identification.

I don't know... it looks to me like the wheels in the picture show the car to be a 355, not a 360.

Word right now is that he may have been drinking, and based on the photos I saw, he was travelling at WELL over 100. Damn car is cut in half. It was a brand new 360 Spider black over black. Its a damn shame, passenger is in serious condition with bone fragments in his brain. Egads! The driver Heatley is 22 years old. He might know how to play hockey well, but he simply and obviously does not have the skills to own a car like that. Too much money, too little gray matter.

A Ferrari -- which appears to have been a 360 Spyder -- was written off on Lenox Road last night, with two members of the Atlanta Thrashers injured. Speed was estimated at 80 MPH.
