Eric V: exactly what I meant to say. I'll pull apart the assembly when I get the car back to see if there's anything. Erik: bingo. 550. --Dan |

Also, I'm not sure if I'm following your explanation correctly, and you might have said it right. But, only the inner lights function as brake lights, and the outer lights funtion as turn signals. With the night driving lights on, only the outer lights are illuminated. At night, when the turn signal is activated these outer illuminated lights blink with a much brighter bulb. The inner lights illuminate only when the brake is applied. And the inner whites are the back-up lights, as you explained. |

As far as I know, it doesn't do anything else, so I was under the impression that it was a reflector. Perhaps, if for no other reason, than just for symmetry in the design/look of the rear. |

Ok, I've included a picture to help explain, but my question is this: On the tail-lights, there are two red rings, surrounding two clear lights. The 'inside' ones are clearly the reverse lights for the center, and the two rings are brakes (with the outer ring also functioning as the turn-signal). My question is, what does the 'outside' center light do? Is it a parking light for euro-spec cars? I thought there was an amber bulb in there to act as turn-signal, but that's wrong. It's not a reverse light either. And there doesn't seem to be a reflector in there, which is what the manual claims. --Dan
