what is also sad is that $1.5MM in 1986 is equal to $2.5MM in current dollars. So his $2.5MM is worth $300K. That has to sting a bit.

I wonder whether it would even drive anymore. Having done NOTHING to it, not even fluids drained etc.

My satanic mechanic tells me all kinds of Rocky Horror stories about oils and liquids splitting up and eating away on seals and hoses if left sitting there for several months without running. I can't imagine how a 20 year old car with those few miles must be doing. Problem just a museum piece. How depressingly sad.

Enzo would strangle the owner if he could.

Hey I have some "insert dot com name" stock that I paid $250 a share for back in 1999. Even though it is trading at $1 now I will sell it to you for $125 a share. Sounds fair right?

If this is the same guy from Russo & Steele he told me he bought it for $1.5 mil in 1986. It does only have 1400 miles, but he also told me that he has never done ANYTHING to it. It is 18 years old and he has never so much as changed the oil. Said it didn't need it because of the mileage. He was so pissed that everyone he talked to said the car was only worth $300K tops. He also had a Pantera that he wanted $75k for and he was thinking of selling his 512BBi for $300k. Was a very nice guy, but a little out of touch.:-)

Just 1,500 miles in 20 years? How sad.
