Wow. Makes me want to finally restore my Dad's old '69 Datsun 2000. You should post these TR4 photos here:

Looks just like that Michael. :-)

Here's another I just scanned. Kinda hard to tell but it was painted a very nice shade of green; not British Racing Green (although that was its original color) but what was called "Kelly Green", if memory serves...

I sure miss that car. It was a blast to drive. Very torquey, nimble, cornered like it was on rails...and liked to eat Miatas for breakfast. It had an awesome exhaust note-very throaty and loby(?); used to set off car alarms in parking lots quite easily. heh heh I drove it hard too-not abusive-but like it was meant to be driven. My wife was glad to see it go. :-(

Actually Ed (and David), I do live near a nuclear plant (Shearon Harris-near Raleigh), but they're not to blame for the glowing TR4. :-) I'll keep an eye on the boards for local get-togethers, shows, etc. Thanks!

Santini,

Welcome !! You will find a lot of good information and some genuinely nice people here.

Please advise where in North Carolina you are living - There are a lot of others in the area. We do morning drives and some shows, etc.. Any excuse to get together and talk cars ( all makes - not just F-cars ). E-mail me the city if you do not want to post here.

As for the reversing of the thread to make it easier to read -- NO -- many others have asked. One day this will be changed.

Again welcome to F-Chat and North Carolina

Interesting color.... You don't happen to live near a nuclear power plant, do you? :-)

I'll post some better pics of the TR4 after I get some scanned. This is the only one I have right now. Didn't Michelotti design some of the earlier Ferraris also?

BTW, is there a way to configure the forum threads so that the most recent post is at the bottom of the thread instead of the top?

Post a photo of the TR4, if you have one. Sounds like a fun project. And welcome.

Hello. I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself to this very cool forum. :-) I'm not currently a Ferrari owner but hope to change that in the not too distant future.

Anyway, originally from Northern NY, currently living in N. Carolina. Married, 4 kids, one lovely granddaughter, and a Ferrari fanatic since I can barely remember.

Finally made up my mind that I'm going to buy a 308GTB within the next five years, God willing. I restored and sold a really nice Triumph TR4 a few years ago and have had the itch to get something else ever since. I've always wanted a Ferrari but never really gave it serious consideration until recently. I think I just woke up one day and said to myself, "why the heck not? You've always wanted one and you'll regret it if you don't give it a serious shot." So, here I am.
