I have the straight cut double gear pak with double bearings and mag case, the guys says the replacement cost is $75,000 for this gear pak??? The gear pak sells for about $6,000 and comes with 3 different ratio's. He's doing more than smokin crack! |

I noticed the photos too...they are all scanned pictures of what appear to be differing vintages and possibly cars. Makes you wonder what the ACTUAL condition really is, if it is not worthy of a recent digital pic. |

Half those photos look like he's lifted them from random locations around the internet ! The fact the engine bay is in black and white is a classic... |

While I must yield to the Pacific Coast assessment of the respected Gentleman from Seattle with respect to the mph speed claims, I'd imagine this one just has some different transfer gears ( Colletti is a known gear maker )judging from the picture. From the engine bay photo it looks like a EURO dry sump 308, so I certainly would believe that he was maintaining 175 - 200 KPH and someone didn't pick up on that whole mph/kph thing. Tough to do on Crack. Here's another reference to a Colletti geared 246 from a quick Google: http://www.ferrariownersclub.co.uk/happenings/2002/february/maastrich.asp best rt |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2435570970&category=6212 On a 308? I've never heard of this but hoped someone could offer some insight. 175mph in a 308?? I'd think you'd need more than just gears to accomplish that. |
