One thing I found that really seems to help the car when its colder is to keep the garage warm. I already set the heat in my garage to 80 a couple weeks ago. So the car starts up like in the summer even though its 50 degrees outside. Its starts fast and goes straight to a smooth idle. I then pull it out and let it warm up outside for a few minutes then drive. The difference is big. In 5 minutes its already up to 150 (oil temp). With no heat in the garage. it can take as much as 12 minutes to get to that temp.

It's starting to get cold here in Georgia and I was wondering how many of you drive your Spiders much with the top up ? I normally leave my car covered in the garage with the top down and drive it on warmer days. I do take it out a few times a month with the top up though. What do most of you other Spider owners do ?
