One thing I found that really seems to help the car when its colder is to keep the garage warm. I already set the heat in my garage to 80 a couple weeks ago. So the car starts up like in the summer even though its 50 degrees outside. Its starts fast and goes straight to a smooth idle. I then pull it out and let it warm up outside for a few minutes then drive. The difference is big. In 5 minutes its already up to 150 (oil temp). With no heat in the garage. it can take as much as 12 minutes to get to that temp. |
