Rob - Yes I was driving my Viper in the Viper days event at Mid-Ohio. yes it is a drivers track, very difficult for me. you go into a corner uphill with the suspension loaded, everything feeling great, peak the hill, the suspension unloads and corner changes to off camber, you grab your seat with your cheeks and hope it holds. what a fun track, very nerve racking and very scary for me every lap.

there are a few pictures of my viper on the Mid-Ohio track if anyone is interested. go to http://www.centurycustomcoach.com/events.asp then click on the right side "view pictures".

Manu - your the mad man, are you going to FCA/LA?

pictures? went to the dealer to pick it up today and they had done nothing to the car. they were supposed to remount the fire bottle and lower the seat. they said, "oh, I thought you just wanted to pick it up and then bring it back for us to do that work later" sure, I love loading and unloading it and missing work while I do it. I need to work as much as possible to pay for all this stuff. now they say they will have it done tomorrow. so if all goes well I will have pics up late wednesday or thursday. sorry for the delay.

I forgot to add; Stephen - I LOVE the 275GTB - it takes financial balls to purchase a Ferrari as special and as beautiful as that, so hats off to you mate.
Nice one...
Does that V12 sound as good as they say it does?

Borranis are going on, mags are going into storage. New knockoffs and XWX's from Coker are on the way, be here early next week.

Found a repro tool kit that will only set me back $5K. At least it's cheaper than the owners manual and pouch.

Steve, you need a Halon Fire ext. (I can't spell it either)lol

Tires should get here, what wheels are going to track it with?

Your Borrani's should be OK, but if want to take the alloys put in the semi, we can change them at the track.

Steve,

We have too many rich friends, I think we should just sit back and enjoy their success. Tim is a very nice guy, but I am afraid a Century Coach, while very high on my wish list, is just bit out of my reach right now!

But you have to admit a 360 Challenge is very cool, when do you think our friend John will get one?

By the way, Grant said he will drive with you at FCA/LA in your 275, hold on! Chris

Chris,

Maybe if you buy a custom coach from Tim he will let you drive his 360 Challenge :-)

Looking forward to seeing Tim at the track for FCA/LA. Of course, I'll be in the old man class with the 275. You kids go and play nice!!!

Rob, Mid-Ohio was the first track my wife, Dana and I were ever on. It is a fun track, Laguna Seca is still my favorite. I am sure you, Tim and Art have your favorites, Sounds like a new thread! Chris

Tim, I guess you were at the Viper Days. Mid Ohio is a driver's track. If you can do Mid Ohio, you can handle anything. I've never raced it, but religiously watched every SCCA national race from there on Speedvision last year. I'll do Spec. 7 a few more years and then pick a national class. I see and talk to Bobby Archer and Deborah Loth quite a bit here in Dallas and at the races. Deborah is one of the best drivers I've ever seen and she's only been racing about 18 months.

I'm hoping the SCCA will allow the 360 C into T-1 next year. Congrats, that car is on my dream list.

Tim, I will be at the track on Saturday and Sunday.

I am bringing Grant Maiman with Skip Barber as my driving coach. Grant has raced this track recently. Grant has a lot of Ferrari seat time. He is currently in the top of the points the National Barber Dodge Formula Series. If you would like to "borrow" him you are welcome. That goes for anyone that will be at FCA/LA. If I am not on the track, you can use him.

He will not be at the track on Sunday as he has to get back to Skip Barber on Monday.

Damn a challenge car, too cool! Chris

Dont know exactly what got into me but I bought a new 360 F1 Challenge car today.

just got my Viper together for the track, racing wheels, hoosiers, moton adj shocks, stoptech brakes, roll bar, butted the interior, etc, made it a total race car and had my first race last weekend at Mid-Ohio. long haul from AZ but the track was way cool and the car was incredible.

the long drive home I got to thinking how cool it would be to get the F40 on the track but that wont happen unless I cut a whole in the roof to stick my head and helmet through. then got to thinking about used challeng cars. after talking with people it seems most have been wrecked and sometimes multiple times. the price difference between used/wrecked and new was not that far off.

called the local Ferrari dealer and they just happened to have a new 360 challenge on the floor. took my helmet and went down to check it out next thing I knew he through me the keys, I mean showed me where the starter push button was.

its WAY COOL. and I fit with my helmet. quickly registered for the track event at FCA/LA and will be picking the car up next tuesday. having passenger seat installed for rides, gotta share the fun, cant wait. I'll post pictures next week. its silver with silver BBS wheels, red seats and belts, carbon fiber interior doors etc.

now my F40 wont be lonely.
