These cars never came with Ferrari badges, so the one on the trunk and the horn button are incorrect.

For prices, check out:

They had a '66 for sale for some time (don't know if it still is).

This car will rquire major time and $$$ before it
is a driver. The engine it totally unique, parts
like pistons, crank, ect will most likely have to
be custom made as will gaskets. Valves and bearings may be able to be swapped from other
makes but which ones? This would be a great
project for someone looking for a real "challenge". If it were running it might be a
good idea but as is I would be very wary.

Kjell (who has learned the hard way, $$$$$)

Martin, go ahead...I'll look for a car in Canada, but thanks for the consideration:)

I was looking at that car as well.
Wonder why it is back.
If you are not bidding let me know I will send the seller a message and buy direct. Something to keep I think.
Will not bid if you want the car!

Allyn, I've watched that car several times be sold and wondered why it is relisted. This may be an indication to stay away, or that bidders simply don't intend on buying.
It does have the script across the back but from what I see that is the on Ferrari emblem on the car. For what it's going for, I can't see a down side. It's a beautiful car and I'm looking at something to own and drive, not necessarily enter into shows. I like the fact that not everyone has one. What are they going for fully restored? That will determine if it is a bargain or not.

At the risk of rehashing a silly subject: is it a 'real' Ferrari? Was it sold as a Ferrari? It does have the badges. In this case, do we need those stinkin badges to be a Ferrari? (Unlike the Dino's which don't, but are Ferraris anyway IMHO)

What's the Ebay listing number for this car?

It was a thought of Enzo to produce a "small" Ferrari, but never to call it one. His plan was to get someone else to make it.

Giancarlo Baghetti, Lorenzo Bandini and Gerino Gerini along with financial assistance from Oronzio and Niccolo de Nora formed "Autocostruzioni Societa per Azioni" out of the exsiting de Nora's electronics factory. They put into production the Ferrari Mille prototype. Giotto Bizzarrini after leaving Ferrari was picked up by ASA to help sort out engineering and production glitches.

Only 52 coupes and 14 Spyder's were built. Very rare car indeed (well worth it to restore... if it was me).

That car has been "sold" on EBay several times. I'm curious about it too...but my hunch is that this particular example will cost more than it's worth to restore as the past "winners" found out.

Ferrari helped produce the 4 cyliner engine in it. They are rather rare and very beautiful cars. I have more info on the car at my home, I will research it and get back to you.

Been searching ebay for a restoration project when I came across a 1966 ASA Ferrari GT 1000
It's a four cylinder coupe. I've never heard of an ASA GT 1000. It's bodied by Bertone but that is all I could find out about it. The engine has ASA on top, not Ferrari and there is no mention of this car in any of the books I have. Anyone know anything about this car?

The engine and tranny probably need a rebuild, but why is this car so cheap? I've been watching it for a few days and it seems to be stuck under $5000US. Thanks for your insight.
