I have a 77 US model and it has the zippered cover and full size spare. I think US Regs in 77 still required full size spare tires. I know the cover was original because it was all deteriorated and had to be replaced.

Stu, to answer your question the car is black. As you may be able to see I have a Tubi on it and man was that a wise purchase! Bob, to answer your question I bought the wheels from a guy in Ca. used and I believe they are Gotti 55's because they have a "55" on them. Thanks for your interest. Jerry.

Stu, I have an '84 Euro QV and mine came with the small space saver spare (try saying that 10 times quickly...) with the Dino insignia. If you look at how the windshield washer bottle attaches to the car and washer bottles dimensions, it appears the small Dino spare was intentional and correct for that car. I was curious about the same when I purchased my car.

Mine is an '85 Euro with no cover and a small (space saver?) spare with the "dino" insignia. Is this normal for a Euro QV or did someone replace the original full size spare? Anyone?.....

Jerry - is that black or a dark blue? - Either case, very nice!

According to the book, Original Ferrari V8, no US cars had the zippered cover. The euro models changed when the QV was introduced. BTW my wife just got this book for me, if you don't have it get it, specs and pictures of all the variations.

Jerry, great looking 308, are your wheels Speedline?

When did the area around the spare wheel on a 308 change from being a zipped vinyl cover over a space saver, to being an open wheel well with a full size wheel ?

Most of the pictures I've seen have shown early (read "carb") cars having the vinyl cover, however my late UK carb model (registered 17th Jan 1980) has the open wheel well & full sized spare .... ?
