This Belgian yellow Ferrari thing has come up quite a bit oddly. Most old Ferraris in yellow are in Fly yellow which is the color of Modena (hence the yellow behind the Scuderia Ferrari shield). The Belgian racing yellow is of a lighter hue than the Modena yellow that many of the Ferraris were being painted in. |

Mark, When you see the very old ferrari's in yellow, the car will be Belgian. Each country had its own color for racing car teams Italy: red (Duh) Germany: silver England: green (British racing green) Holland: orange France: blue (Bugatti is French) US: white |

Anthony, I actually saw Mario Andretti's yellow 308gtb out in West Town Pa. I think the yellow looks good. It's different, and it's a good yellow. It's not ghetto yellow/gold like some cars seem to have. Tom, I think the yellow GTB you are talking about is at Gullwing Motorcars. He has no service records, and it has 60,000 mil. |

I always think of yellow when I think of Ferrari. Some of my earliest memories of Ferraris in photos are of yellow cars, from back when nothing else was yellow. I think it is, along with red, the classic Ferrari color. |

Classic Car magazine did an article on the 308 recently and featured a Yellow/Black car. They said it was a very reliable, solid car. Looks very nice in that colour combination. And I say that although I'm not a great fan of black leather. |

A yellow 308 GTB looks real nice and it always wins the awards at the concours. See Stewart Chung's profile to get a great looking shot of his car. His car always gets the attention ! I like the black interior because it doesn't show the wear and tear as much as the lighter colors. It's also a sharp combination with yellow. To find Stewart go to keyword search and do a search by author name. Good luck on your search Anthony. |

Thanks Tom. I know which one you are talking about, but it's not that one. I do not think that one has any records. I would not even consider that one. This one is in Westchester. Thanks for your comments and thoughts though. |

I saw a yellow 1978 GTB in queens several months ago. I had just started looking for a ferrari but not for a 308. I saw this one while I was looking at another one. It was inside a warehouse of cars so it was not out in the light but I beleive the paint was in fairly good shape. I remember it had relatively high milage (40-50k) and the dealer had no service history on it, nor any background. I remember the interior being in decent shape. I breifly looked at the engine compartment - don't remember the particulars. I think it is still for sale and I remember it priced in the low to mid 20's. Given he has had it a while he should be flexible on price. take a look |

If you love it and it checks out, then buy it -- to hell with what we think. Its your money. But if you want my opinion - yellow is very cool. |

Anthony, I saw a yellow 308 GTB (probably a late 70's carb) this year at Virginia International Raceway for the Ferrari Challenge. It caught my eye from across the parking lot. You don't see many yellow 308s (actually, this was the first yellow 308 I've ever seen), so...if the car has all of its mechanical records, documentation, etc. and the car is in great condition, go for it. Take some digital pics and post them to the site. I'd love to see them. |

I always wanted a yellow Testarossa. In Germany the post office drives in bright yellow cars with a post horn on the side. I wanted to put that on the car instead of the scuderia shields. Go for it. If you get a GTS you can always paint the roof in car color. I would do that to any TS model today. My 348 has it and it looks so much better than the black. Keeps the lines right and the car looks just like a Berlinetta. Go for it if the car is a good car. Yellow is classic! |

When I see a yellow sports car I think of yellow cab. I guess its a matter of preference. Dan |

I saw a yellow one overheated by the side of the highway this summer. It looked great except for all the steam. |

A fly yellow GTB is wonderful looking. I personally do not like how a 308 GTS looks in Giallo Modena (yellow). However, I have seen Mondials and 328s that look great in yellow. My favorite is a giallo modena 308 GTB with a Euro front spoiler. |

Hi. In my search for a 308, I have come across a potential canidate, a yellow GTB with black interior. Yellow is my second color choice (guess which is my first choice?)although I have never seen a 308 in yellow in person (only in pictures and it looks good, but things look different in the real world). I will be viewing this car next week. Before I actually see the car myself, I'm just curious if anyone has seen one in yellow (or has one) and what your thoughts are of this model in yellow. Thanks for your opinions, Anthony |
