"I know quite a bit about the S02's (NOT the pole positions - those are just horrible tires) and S03's" Care to elaborate Randy? I recently picked up a 2nd set of S02 PPs for my Esprit S4s. They were on closeout at the TireRack. I've been pretty happy with them through 6 or 7 autocrosses and one track day this year. I think the rears will last 12k pretty hard miles and the fronts twice as long. |

Frank, Can you elaborate on what you mean by better? How is road noise vs. the Dunlops and Michelins? Do you find that they stick to the road significantly better than the other two in cornering? Thanks, Jerry. |

I have put S03s on my 2000 M5 and love them. IMHO they are much better than the Dunlaps amd Michelin Pilots that come stock on the M5. |

I've read some bad press on TVR and Audi TT chatrooms about SO3's .... lots of these guys have gone back to SO2's coz they hate them so much .... (just word of mouth, not tried them myself) |

Jerry, I have an 85 308 in Ann Arbor, MI. I bought Pole Positions on the recommendation of my business partner.(He owns a 355) David is correct in regards to the fact that they need to warm up, however the entire car does not sing until warmed up. The tires and the car start to perform like they are supposed to after a proper run up period. In Michigan, the entire process takes longer. Summarized, unless you are doing 150mph around corners going to Starbucks, these tires are high performance. |

i have a 94 supra tt and have recently upgraded the cars handling- i added eibachs, kyb agx's, front and rear strut tower braces and Bridgestone Pole Position S0 3's. Heres my take- not so great in the rain- however in the dry once the tires are warm- its a unbelievable tire- its as if the car is glued the the ground- an enormous improvement over my michelin pilots. I know its no f-car but the supra has similar if not better performance figures than many ferraris. If your ferrari is not a daily driver which i assume a 79 308 wouldn't be - and you just take it out on sunny days-go with the SO 3's-but be forewarned on cold michigan days the tires will not feel grippy until you really start to warm them up- sometimes here in boston especially now that the winter is approaching the tires take as much as 40 minutes of highway driving to really get there bearings. Hope this helps DC |

I know quite a bit about the S02's (NOT the pole positions - those are just horrible tires) and S03's. The basic jist of it - the S03's aren't as sticky but have an inhibitor in the tread, so the tread doesn't get as hard when it wears down to a certain extent. Its a better tire in the rain, if your car will ever see the rain. If you have any questions, give tirerack a call and ask for Conner. |

I'm about to purchase these tires for my '79 308 because of research I did on tirerack.com. There is a section where they have reviews on each tire from customers who have purchased them. It is really a good site. Does anyone have any experience with the S03's on F cars? Thanks, Jerry. |
