Dave, If you meet the engineer who specified the cabin dimensions for the 308/328, could you belt him on the head for me? 8-) Eric |

If I'm able to corner an engineer and am able to ask questions while visiting....is there anything you guys would like to know from Ferrari? I'd be happy to ask some questions on everyones behalf and report back to site when I get back. |

The trains are so easy to use. We didn't use the train until the end of our trip to visit Modena. If we would of known it was so easy, we would of gone other places as well. There will be taxis at the Modena train station. Maranello is still a few miles away. Someone at the Ferrari museum can call for a taxi to get you back to Modena. The buses go there as well, but I wouldn't know how to use them. |

David thanks for the info. I may be going to Milan in late May, so I need to start figuring out how to make the trip to the factory. Obviously you can't go to Italy and not go to the factory! |

Justin, as far as I know, your local Ferrari dealer will contact Ferrari of North America (FNA) to setup the tour. You give them info on your Ferrari, people that will be attending and a choice of dates. Then, if the dates are ok, you will receive notification from FNA about the tour. Also, you don't need to be an owner of a brand new car...just a current owner. My car is a 1990 348TS and I purchased it last summer. Matter of fact, the dealer I got the tour through didn't even sell me the car. |

Actually, I was driving a 1989 Toyota Tercel when I started dating her in 1994. She tells me now that she thought that was a great car. Here's a pic of my de-evolution of cars... only the BMW is actually mine, the other ones are just similar...
1982 Renault Le Car turbo 0-60 15.0, top speed 90 [1988-1990] 1989 Toyota Tercel 0-60 12.5, top speed 101 [1990-1997] 1993 BMW 325is 0-60 7.0, top speed 124 [1997-present] 1986 Ferrari 328GTS 0-60 5.6 to 6.6, top speed 149 [2000-present] Early 1980's Fiat X1/9 [Just got permission from the wife] |

Rob: Nice pics; and you have a beautiful wife! Did you meet her before or after the 328? |

Do you have to set the tours up through a dealer? Do you need to be the owner of a new Ferrari? Or will any Ferrari do? |

David, my wife and I went to Italy last May. We spent all our time in Florence, except one day in Modena and Maranello. I didn't own a Ferrari at the time and didn't even think about trying to get in the factory. We just stood there on the sidewalk. You've already been several times, so you know about the museum and test track. If I went back again, I would #1 Try to get a factory tour and #2 Try to visit all the area coachbuilders and Enzo hangouts. I'll have to check which issue, but there's that one issue of Forza that has a city tour of Modena. Here's some pics of our trip... http://www.matrixcycleclub.org/florence2000/ |

Well everyone...I've been to the factory half a dozen times and they would never let me in...even crying and screaming, because I wasn't an owner. Now that I am an owner I've been able to setup a visit for next month, through my local dealer. Has anyone else visited the factory? Any tips or experiences anyone want to share? Look forward to hearing from anyone. I will also report my experience after the tour in mid March. |
