Peter, I agree with you. My personal favorite was the Cassiar Tunnel when my TR had the Borla on. Sadly, I had to take it off and install the stock system to pass Air-Care last year. I can't put the Borla back on until 2006 when the '91 TR can be registered as a "collector car." | ||

My 68 Corvette was LOUD with the 327, Now I am dropping in a 509 with side pipes  Now thats gonna be LOUD!!!! When I lived in San Francisco I used to love driving her thru tunnels I remember 2 times going through long tunnels in SF & Damn it was Loud Souded like a Big truck. So there were some pedestrians on the walkway in the tunnel & they all turn around with a shocked/annoyed look on their face to see the loud truck, Then they saw the Corvette & started smiling & waving, too cool | ||

Whenever I'm in downtown Vancouver, I always make sure to drive under B.C. Place stadium on Expo Blvd, this is part of the course for the Indy (like the tunnel in the Monaco F1). Carbed 308 with a Borla, Sweet..... | ||

There is an SUV that parks near where I work. Two times as I went past it I set off the alarm. Also one time I was going down my street getting on it a little and I saw a cat get real scared. His ears folded back and he squatted down and looked around to see what was going on. I have a borla on my 308. | ||

Dang WIlliam, that is too cool. I have heard a 512TR with a TUbi at Road Atlanta, and it changed my life. I can only imagine what you car was sounding like when they black flagged you. A mechanical symphony if you will! | ||

I got black flagged at Lime Rock for the Tubi & no cats on the 512TR, I told them that thats like black flagging a Beethoven concert cus its too loud | ||

As spoken by a friend who saw (heard) me drive my carbed 308 into the parking lot at work yesterday. I had to nicely explain to him that I didn't. That throaty roar is the sound I cherish. BTW, anyone else get goosebumps whenever they drive their car in a parking garage? The sound reverberation is awesome. |
