i though that summed it up pretty well.

Ok, I did justice to the Ferrari gods yesterday. At the autocross there was a Viper GTS with the license plate "4RE ETR". Heck, I didn't even need my Ferrari, my '93 BMW 325is gave him a spanking. I'll post the results later to show the damage. Ferrari Driver 1 - Viper 0.

I like "TI 3VOM" but it's only good for a front plate (Which I don't have, and Florida doesn't require)

Bret, I live in Texas, what are woods? We have Mesquite trees every half mile or so.

Yeah you have to know the place and all. If you just go barnstorming through unknown places you're gonna get caught. The best roads that I have found are the ones that are secluded in the woods. There are a couple of roads like 20min away from me that are made for Ferraris with nothing around them, and they are only patrolled by state police so there are never any cops because they have better things to do then sit in these random streets in the middle of nowhere. It's not worth it to speed on populated roads because gosh forbid you hit someone or crash, but on some spots on the highway I like to.

Would this fake plate really let me drive as fast as want (providing that I wasn't endangering any one else)? I'm sure I can get them made. What if a cop ran the numbers though, would they come up or would the cop just arrest me and impound my car? If not the VWVVWVW looks appealing. I might have to swing over to the DMV soon. How much are vanity plates now (they used to be 50, but I think they bumped up the price)?

Hmmm... reminds me of when I was 16 and got popped by the local Sheriff of the rural town I was blasting through at about 100 in my then 'hot rod' TR6. After writing the ticket, and radioing for the impound tow-truck, he said to me in a fatherly tone, "Son, remember, you can't outrun a radio."

Somewhere I read that to evade that elusive eye at 100+ mph try "VWVVWVW" (something about how the block letters on the plate look vs. those typed here) and "1II1I1I", there are plenty of plate idea sites on the net, IIRC. I'm still trying to get someone to make me a fake plate (E)PROVA12 (the (E) is a California Exempt/Employee plate), as in offical governmental testing of this vehicle. Prova is the test plates for Ferrari in Italy for those that don't know...

btw, for the record my TR's plate is "A RARITI", could be the driver, could be the car (see showroom)...

You guys are ridiculous, I never thought to associate bingo with it but I guess I could see why. I love that B8BB8BB, it's gonna work. You guys are a bad influence on me (I love it). Do you think a 308QV could out run a cop car on a relatively straight road (we've proved it can on a curved road)? I'm not going to try, but sometimes I wonder about it.

Bret, it's meaning is really endless. i could be looked at w/them thinking i won this ferrari. i could be looked at w/them thinking; "you poor, boring, geek". i could be looked at by a supremely beautiful, knock out, lady, rolling down her window and saying, "well, let's find out!" of course this last scenario only happens in the movies. so, "dream on" mate.

Larry you're a genius. I'm gonna get one of those very soon, or I was just thinking, maybe B8B8B8B or even make it real random like B8BBBB8. I love it. I still don't get the "happiness is yelling bingo" I must be retarded, help me out a bit.

when i first read this license frame on a very domestic mini van, i felt embarrassed for the very vanilla looking house wife,(who wouldn't go 1mph over the limit or get out of my way) who's only form of cultural stimulation was once a weekend. in a church gym/hall; w/her gal friends. i couldn't shake it though. why let people know, how boring you are?(we already know you can hold up traffic!!!) i kept reading into it; over and over. then it hit me, in a "steely dan" kind of way. i'm getting one made up for the dino. "Happiness is yelling BINGO!!!"

Was behind a rust bucket of a Jaguar yesterday...looked like someone had dipped it in the dead sea. The plate read: 4U2INV

All I could do was laugh

Italian - English
presto - quick
veloce - fast

Posted on Monday, February 26, 2001 - 8:09 pm:

I have a normal license plate but I have put a little thought into this one:
Rossa - if you do a little Spanish/Italian mix you can say "Rossa, Rossa, la mas hermosa"
Rosso- masculine, but you can't do the neat rhyme
Forza
Enzo
ChaseMe - might create problems
Nd4Spd - classy, especially with the computer game
I can't remember how to say fast in Italian and I don't have a dictionary at home, if it would fit it would be good.

I speak pretty much fluent Spanish and broken Italian, go figure, my family's Italian but they didn't have it as a language choice in school until this year, it's a sweet class.

Rob - Cattivo is masculine for bad boy. BTW - I grew up in Italy and my parents still live there. Thats why I'm so fortunate to get to go to Italy at least 2 - 3 times a year. My father is American and my mother is Neapolitan (from Naples) and that is where I was born. Now I live in god-forsaken Waldorf Maryland...AHHHH!! They don't even know what a Ferrari is down in this area.

I can't top "Cattiva", I wonder if my wife will let me get one that translates "bad boy"... I doubt it.

Where are all the Italians out there? Would "bad boy" be something like "bambino male", although "Cattivo" would be masculine. Dang it, I really want to learn Italian, but I haven't learned my first language yet... English.

I personally don't...but I went to an FCA party in Baltimore and one of the members had one: "Cattiva" which means "Bad Girl" in Italian.

I am sure many of you have "vanity" plates. How about sharing some of those creative plate names.
