Ron,
Thats funny you say that. We also went early on the 16th to get tickets. We went to the late show, the attendent told us to come a half hour early. We get there early and I am thinking to myself that I hope I don't have to sit too close to the front. I walk in and we are the first people in the theater. I walked out to make sure I was in the right one. We felt pretty silly also. I heard the next movie was due out in 2003. I think I read that in yesterdays USA Today.

I went to see the movie, thought the graphics were good, but I was left thinking I had just seen a patchwork quilt of a movie. All the stuff needed for a great movie was there, but it didn't flow properly. I am a long time Star Wars fan, but I agree with Ken, Spider Man was a much better movie.

I went Friday night to purchase tickets for Saturday morning..They were not selling early tickets..I went 1 hour and a 1/2 early to be first in line..No lines and half a room later, felt pretty dumb.

Movie was great, Yoda rocked and I loved how you see young Anakin act recklessly dispite his training

Three years to go for the next movie.. That one will be the best of all time.

MATRIX looks excellent to

The special effects were worth the admission alone, and yes Yoda was kickin' a**, that was worth a buck or two. Anybody see the movie trailor for THE MATRIX? The people in our theater went wild. That movie looks like it will be as awesome as the first, maybe better.

Awesome visual, but the acting was not too great! I guess I liked the old cast better, but overall good movie. Yoda did kick some ass, but what was the deal with the cane afterwards-he must be a sleeper Jedi.

I thought the movie was excellent. As a matter of fact, I thought this movie was the best Lucas has done to date.

I find a lot of the criticism I hear to be pretty unreasonable. People seem to place unrealistic and ridiculous expectations on these movies. I guess there are just fanatics on both sides of the fence; super fans who will see it 18,000 times and super critics who hate it before it's released and yet see it anyway.

I was dissappointed. Plot was a good idea but couldn't carry a 2 1/2 hour movie. Special effects first rate but no big deal; it was all overblown. The Senator was hot but of course no nude scenes; that would have saved the movie though. Spiderman was MUCH better!! But what do I know; I have a Lotus.

Mark, That rings a bell. Once a kid of 18 yrs said my Dad is the dumbest person I know. When he became 21, he said he was surprised to see how much his Dad had learned in 3yrs. Just an after thought, Best Regards,

Magoo- no line... I walked right in!

Too many people think the line will be long and don't go. You just have to pick a theater other then.. HollyWood Blvd (where its more about getting your face on the news)

Some old guys like my dad don't get it though! He grew up with cowboy movies :-)

For those of you who haven't seen it, it is much better than Episode I. This movie rocks... and if you ever wanted to see Yoday kick some ass, you have to go see this. :-)

Edward,

Did you really like the fact that Jar-Jar Stinks appeared in it? You could sense the collective groan in the theatre when that ass munch appeared. Meesa think he sucky.

I saw it last night at 11pm. I was suprised the theater wasn't packed. I am sure this weekend will be a different story. I thought it was pretty good and plan to see it again. As far as Jar Jar binks I think he had 3 lines to many.

I saw it last night. It was much better than Episode 1 and yes Yoda kicks ASS! I was surprised that the theater was only half full but I guess the weekend will be a different story. I'm just glad they stopped catering it to children and made it a little more dark (like Empire Strikes Back). Even though Jar Jar only had 3 lines it was still too much for my liking. I'll see it again. Huge Star Wars fan.

I'm buying my tickets tonight to see it with the family in the morning.
In the Empire Strikes Back they refer to Yoda as a great warrior..This is the movie that will show you why he has that title....

Digital pictures, what the heck is that. In the small town I live in they still play a freakin piano along with the 16mm movie. Have any of you seen that Movie " Gone With the Wind"? It's comming here soon. All jokes aside, I have to drive 50 miles one way to Greenville S.C. or to Charlotte N.C. to go to a decent theater with Stadium seating.

No... I saw a slight blur in the regular theater without the digital projector. I was wondering if it was the projector or ... just too many layers of special effects added over the top of each-other and you get that blur in a few places? Still a stunning visual movie :-)

Just got back from the movie. 2 words: Yoda Rocks!

I saw it in a digital theater. The picture quality is very clean. No artifacts or popping at all. However, I noticed that it's slightly blurry (projectionist's fault?).

Sometimes my wife dresses up like princess Laya and I like Obey Won and we have like a mock light saber fight with empty wrapping paper rolls. We have action figures and dolls and autographs and posters! Wo, wait a minute...I'm like hyper-ventilating...okay, okay sorry but we REALLY love the whole anthology soooooo much! We saw Episode 2 this morning at 12:01 and like as soon as it was over, we like got back in a 3 day line. We like camped out for 7 weeks so we could be like the first in our town to like say that we saw Episode 2 first. It was surreal. Sometimes, my wife takes off her hair buns and like pretends that they are moon pebbles or boomerangs or something and she chucks them at me as I try to defend myself with my light saber (aka wrapping paper roll). Well until next time...let the farce be with you...ha, ha get it I said farce instead of force! Oops, I'm drooling again...and all over my pocket protector! Double dog!!!

The wife and I went during lunch today. 2 hrs and 15 minutes worth of stuff blowing up and light sabres flashing.

May not be the best plot, but the visuals are not to be missed. And, if you're like me and grew up on this stuff, you just have to go.

I will give it a B+

After seeing that crowd of DWEEBS on CBS News who slept outside the Theaters and were cheering like a bunch of Yard Apes and were dressed up like Storm Troopers and were waving Light Sabers and were old enough to know better, I don't know If I want to possibly be identified with that group of people. That crowd needs to get a life. They issued too many "Day Passes" if you ask me.

I suppose it's good escapeism entertainment. As long as you guys aren't dressing up in the masks and other garb. It's kind of for kids though isn't it?

Art- technology is amazing, must see on big screen. Sound effects are George Lucas's second love!

Internet Relay Chat. Quite a few programs to get on it. Try www.mirc.com for one of the more popular. Lots of servers with lots of channels on them with various topics of discussion. Lots of illegal channels that distribute copyrighted movies, games, music and whatnot on there. Tough to shut them down since its so easy to set a server up.

Argh :-) It's hard to go to the newer Star Wars movies without having some disappointment afterwards. I remember being 8 years old when the first came out. It was almost a religious experience is was so unreal. The newer ones while they can be entertaining just cant compare.

I won't give anything away about the plot.

But snuck out last night at 12:01 on a wim and caught the new movie. Lots of fun! Very fast action!
