Paul did a great job putting this together. What a turn out. It was so busy that I did not have a chance to take pictures. SORRY guys.

Great to meet you Paul. Hope we will see each other on Cavallino and Italiafest and you will make it to the Rally.

The show was a great sucess! looks like it will become an annual event. 60 Ferrari's on the lawn and another 20+ (non-register) out on the street.
150 people attended the FOC lunch and the Weather was perfect.
HUGE PUBLIC TURNOUT ALL DAY.............

I'm back in Wichita so I won't be attending. It looks like it's going to be a great time and great weather. I'm seriously jealous, have a wonderful time while I enjoy the brown landscape here! BobD, you're right on the money about Columbia Restaurant....fantastic food.

Interesting, David reports there are 50 cars registered for this event... 7 FC'ers on this thread are attending... and at least a couple of us won't have our cars there. Anybody else planning to be in Sarasota this weekend?

Weather is supposed to be dry and between 65-72 degrees. More than 50 cars are expected, should be a fantastic day. Everyone is invited to come and look at the cars.

Event Registration is available at www.focfloridaregion.com/sarasota.pdf

I booked a room at "Conquina on the Beach". Friday till Sunday. Will stay a little longer to see Sarasota.
Hotel has secure parking (as much as you can ask for) and is on the Beach for only $ 99.00 a night Oceanfront.

I'm down here on Sanibel for a couple months right now. Been cool for the last week put not too bad, they say this week should warm up as it goes along; hoping to have good weather for the event up in Sarasota. Should be fun even though I left my car back in WI.

Captiva and Sanibel are very nice and quiet places. Life runs a different pace there. As a vacation you will love it.

It is about 1 1/2 hours from Sarasota. I still own a lot of land in Cape Coral, east of Sanibel/Captiva. Very prosperous area.

The show is going to be great! Its going to be bigger than what was expected in the beginning. So far more than 35 cars have been registered and people are calling everyday requesting for info. Visit the club website at www.focfloridaregion.com for more info and registration form. See you guys there!

Martin, my company is based in Sarasota (I've been with them 18 years). In all my visits to the west coast of FL, we've never been to Captiva/Sanibel... but always heard good things about it. I think my wife got us a condo for a few days... I'm wide open to suggestions. If you have any, pls email me. THX!

We're flying in from Dallas for a long weekend.... heading to Captiva Saturday afternoon... just going to drop by the show for a couple of hours. You don't know how much I'd like to have the car there with us!

Did I read there are 25+ cars registered?
Martin (Miami348ts)
Posted on Thursday, January 03, 2002 - 3:42 pm:

why without the cars?
BobD (Bobd)
Posted on Thursday, January 03, 2002 - 3:41 pm:

My wife and I will be there without the car too (unfortunately). St. Armands Circle is beautiful... will make a great venue for the show.

Looking forward to it!

The wife and I are considering attending the event -- that is, if we can work it into the schedule (business, kids in school, etc., etc.). Probably won't be able to bring the F-car though (as it may be in the shop for routine inspection / maintenance). On the return trip, we'd like to pay Ferrari of Central Florida a visit, meet the "crew", look around, etc.

Sounds like a fun Ferrari-packed weekend -- hope we can be there!
