LWR, If you have the finances to get another one go for it. So long as your not hording like Daffy Duck when he and Bugs got into the cave full of treasure, lol. You get the point. There is nothing wrong with wanting nice things. So long as you don't get too obsessed with it, to the point the you are not willing to help people that are less fortunate than you. |

Guys lay off off him. He has his first car and has been caught by the F-Virus. If you do not know the Virus exists you do not know how to handle things. Most of you are seasoned with the F-Virus. LWR, you have experienced the Ferrari Virus. Nothing to be afraid of. You will have to learn how to deal with it for the rest of your life, as there is no true cure! The occasional outbreaks are "the need to buy another one". When you feel that way, you might as well go for it, because you will not sleep until you do. It is not GREED, it is more a mediacal condition. People that are not infected will not understand and will tell you "you are nutz!". I tried to claim medical coverage when I bought me second car but the insurance co said that Ferrari Fever is not insured Check with your insurance! |

LWR, I feel much like Mitchel. This is a question you should be able to answer yourself. No one here can answer that question for you. It is quite a nice position to be in and I am sure that you do not find this question to be too big of a problem. The part about being ungrateful, I don't understand. It is your money why would you be ungrateful? As far as greedy there are plenty more Ferraris out there for people to buy so don't feel greedy. This post seems to be a bit odd to me about a person being greedy and ungrateful about having so many options to buy these wonderful cars. Anyway I am very happy for you as I am sure the other guys are also. |

When you bring home the 355 and then a Daytona, what do you think you'll want next? Does it ever stop? Should it ever stop? Eventually, will an F50 be the car to really make you happy? How about a McLaren? I doubt it. Live within your means. Be happy. |

I saw do what makes you happy. You only live once. If you want another Ferrari. Why not get it. If you aren't happy with it you can always sell it. I have a carb 308 and am interested in purchasing a FI 308 and I wonder the same things. I sometimes feel that I should be very lucky to have a Ferrari. I would sell my 308 after I purchased the FI 308 but the feeling of still maybe wanting another one can make one feel a little guilty. Do what makes you happy and work hard to achieve your goals. |

LWR you have a condition known as Ferrari Fever. This condition has a cure, buy another Ferrari. Don't worry, many of us have had it and we have lived to tell the story! |

Nothing wrong with wanting more Ferraris. It's probably because they're all such great cars with interesting histories. I think my next Ferrari purchase would be either a F40 or a Daytona (in yellow) to go with my black 360. Eventually I'd have all three in the garage for a balanced collection. |

Jay is right. If the rest of your life is well sorted and you do stop to think about the less fortunate who do not have as much as you, the more the merrier. |

I got my first Ferrari when I was 25, a 308GTS QV & I was really overjoyed cus I'd been waiting 20 years to get 1 Looking back I was pretty insecure back then & saw the car as a way of getting chicks & attention apart from being fun & great to drive on the track. Now that I'm 37 & have a nice eclectic car collection I buy cars just cus I like them & they r fun to drive. Chicks r for the most part more trouble than they r worth |

Being materialistic doesn't mean you have money. You can be the poorest person in the world and be greedy. If you have the means to buy these "toys" then buy them. Don't be ashamed of your success. At the same time it seems you need an excuse, so then ask yourself why you are buying them. Is it to fill a void in your life? Is it to get the attention of others? Are you substituting the love and emotional attatchment of family with it? Only you can answer these questions, and I'm NOT implying that you are a shallow person. You have to reason with yourself, nobody else can give you an answer. If you are happy emotionally, physically and spiritually with your life, and have the means to buy them then the answer is simple...buy the cars you want and don't feel guilty about it. However if you find yourself lacking in one of these areas, make changes first, because that feeling won't go away by buying more stuff. Just my .02 |

Per the couple of postings made to the showroom and this forum, a couple of weeks ago I took delivery up my first Ferrari... a '99 550 Maranello. The 550 has replaces a string of Porsches, most recently a '00 996 C2 Cab, all of which of sated my car ownership desires. The 550 is by far the best car I've ever owned. The reason I'm feeling greedy is, rather than be happy with owning a beautiful 550, my eye is wandering and I'm looking for something else to share its garage space. Does anybody else feel like this? Is it a Ferrari thing? Is it wrong? I spied a nice Daytona the other day... very tempting... also saw a nice 355 GTS. Should I just be happy with the 550 and 'make do', or is it OK to have another? Suggestions as to what to do next welcome |
