You can only get a plane license when you are old enough to drive a car, same age for most the states (17 years old). You can start taking flying lessons when you're 14 I think, maybe 15. You can get a permit type license to fly with someone else (pilot) at 16. It's weird to think that you could fly a plane on your own at 17. One of my neighbors used to fly so I've got plenty of useless small plane information stored up here. | ||

It takes awhile for the news to reach all the way up here in Canada.... I'm still amazed that its possible to get a licence to fly a plane before you can get to drive a car... | ||

JAy, you did not hear that a kid down here in FLA has flown a Cessna into a office building, causing some drop ceiling tiles to fall out of the ceiling? Copycat crime! LOL Joke is on him. He is dead and so will Bin Laden soon! | ||

I am currently 16 years old, so you would think I could understand why this kid would do something like this- but, I can't. I have never had a problem making friends, so I might not understand that aspect of the kids life- but to kill your self in the name of a goon like bin Laden- this kid had some major problems. Thankfully, he didnt take anyone down with him. -k | ||
