This is absolutely stolen and I would worry about posting any info from it on a public site. It's proprietory info for sure; I wouldn't be surprised to see the aution ended early. I would suggest contacting the seller by email and making private arrangements if anyone wants to buy it.

What should be done is a group of Ferrarichatter's (or F'ers as someone else called...which could be confused with something else) buy it and with Rob's help, host it here under "Tech Q&A". This will then become the ultimate Ferrari repair website on the planet.

I will tell you up front, I will have no part of this as my GT4 has no dingle-dangle-dongle hook-up....

I've recall reading an article on a company in the UK that is trying to develop something similar dongles and all at a fraction of the cost. I'll find the article again and see if this is the same thing. That would be a sweet deal if you really knew what you were doing.

The last message on who normally has access to these plus the fact that this will be a private sale with no buyer name being listed is why I suspected this was probably hot. After some email exchanges with the seller, this is a cool deal for a hands-on 360 owner, the listings for other vehicles seems to be limited to that which is readily available via printouts on ebay etc.

it is a computer key that plugs into a serial port that the cd's search for when you load them up. if you dont have it, it won't load the cd..FYI ferrari only sells to dealers, adn regulates these very tightly.

I would be interested in making a bid, any others?
perhaps we could organize as a group, and print out what we need and pass it along.

How did this guy get the stuff? If he couldn't or wouldn't explain then it's probably stolen.

Tis true that you need an attachment...apparantly this comes with it and probably represents the price! I did email the seller, the only detailed cds are the 360.

I was told by someone in parts at Ferrari of Atlanta that the new parts and service manuals on CD from Ferrari will only work if you have a special adapter for your computer. Whether that's true or not I have no idea.

I would enjoy having this. I really wouldn't need it unless I had numerous Ferraris to work on. It doesn't look like it has the 308 on it though. Look at the pictures showing the actual Ferrari engine. I wish our manuals were like this.

'Spose if I owned a 360, it would be worth checking out but he doesn't seem to have the relevant material for other rides.

JMG, You are probably correct. Next question is, "Does it work?"
