Body Scrub by Meguire's is too mild for deep scratches. Great as a prep before waxing though. Clay bar first. Check www.griotsgarage.com for advice on removing deeper scratches.... |

Dan how big were the scratches on it? My cat got on my 308 and made a few scratches that I want to buff out. Will this work? What about for the deeper scratches? |

Najib, I had the same thing happen to my black 348. There were two places on the paint that were blemished. Nothing seemed to work. I went to last years Concorso at Peable Beach. There, they had a Meguires booth. I described my problem to one of the representatives. He introduced me to Meguires Body Scrub. He said try it; if it doesn't work I will refund your money. His instructions were also to not let it dry but immediatly wipe it off. It worked great! The cost is $14.00 a bottle. I have since used it 5 times and each time the results are outstanding. Dan |

Hey Najib, Jason is right. This should help. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/birdbombs.html The only thing that I would do besides polishing and waxing is I would start first with a mild compound like Dupont white polishing compound. I do this every year to my TR. It won't hurt the paint, especially if you do it by hand rubbing with the lines of the car, front to back, even on the sides of the car. Use a bucket of water and either a clothed covered sponge or terry wash clothe. Rinse and reapply after you have done about a 1 x 1 ft square area at a time. You'll be impressed with the look and proud of your work and new car. Joe |

You may need to have the car high speed buffed, with a light cutting compound, then polished. I use Griots stuff and Zymol by hand. Don't worry, it will come out! |

The 348 was finally delivered. The car itself is gorgeous and as the dealer described (remember bought unseen). But I had some trouble getting it cleared through customs which meant that the car was left overnight under a shed. The pigeons had a field day. I washed the car the very next day but can still see some very light blemishes on the paintwork. Any ideas on how these can be removed without hurting the paintwork? I have tried washing the specific areas again and also using wax but although they have faded, I can still see some marks in the shade. Will post some pictures once I have had it registered and can drive on the roads. |
