They showed that process on "Dream Car Garage" a few episodes ago. No, squeegying is not a word, but it sounds good and I know what you're talking about! |

Quicky idea for you, 'cause I know painting will take a long time. How bout a local sign shop with a computerized vinal cutter. If you wanted to save some money and NOT have them do the whole thing for you, you could probably purchase yellow vinal from them (red & green also) hand cut this yourself. Have them do the prancing horse for you. Peel & stick. (If you use a spray bottle filled with water and a little bit of soap, you can spray the water on your trailer then apply the decal. The soap in the water allows you to use a squeege to remove all air bubbles by simply squeegying (is that a word?) out all the water from underneath your vinal. The sign shop will explain this process better than me, but hopefully you get the idea. Good luck! |

Steve, one solution you may be able to work with is to transfer the "shield" to a transparency, and then using an overhead projector, sketch the shield on the back of your trailer with all of the detail. Once the shield has been sketched on the trailer, paint in the colored areas. I plan on using this same technique to paint a large (4') prancing horse on the garage wall in front of the Ferrari. Just a thought... |

Look at this guy (magoo)!!! LOL, I guess a picture of a Scuderia Shield is better than a picture of MY ugly mug. LOL |

Steve, In this same section of Gen. Ferrari Diss. scroll down to "HOW GOOD IS YOUR PRINTER?" Click on the name "Michael {Mtabije}." There in his profile you will find a great pic of the Scuderia Shield. |

I'm looking for an electronic version of the Ferrari fender shield (not the rectangular one, but the one in the shape of a shield with the "S" and "F" at the bottom). While I know I can buy a small decal, I want to be able to make a pattern so I can paint a larger version on the back of my enclosed car hauler. I can't seem to find a copy anywhere on the Web, probably due to copyright infringment issues. I only want this for myself to use as stated. If anyone happens to have a version in an electronic format (.jpg, .tif, etc.), or could scan one for me, I would be most grateful. Thanks Steve Marschman [email protected] '88 TR |
