I can't believe this - $1000 for a fake Rolex - you could get a great Daytona fake for $30 in Shanghai when I was there last year.

It may not fool a jeweller, but a fake is a fake...

There are lots of great watches out there for about $1000 - Omega, Tudor, etc No offence to anyone, just my own view.

Hey Kyle,

Did A LOT of searching on the net - ordering these replicas is always a bit of a risk, but I found mine at watchreplica.com and had a good experience with them. A friend of mine ordered after me and didn't, so caveat emptor.

Chris,
I'm interested in the replicas you mentioned, especially if they are that good! Any more info on where you got them? Thanks!

I don't know if this will help you...I have a gold daytona, white face...the serial number is as follows x666987. I bought the watch in about 1995. Ask the dealer for the serial number. Give Rolex a call, they'd be happy to tell you if it is authentic.

By the way, I have had the watch serviced twice since I got it....If you have the casing polished (about a 5 week turnaround, always have Rolex do the service) the results are stunning!! It is impossible to tell it from new..All but the very deepest scratches come out.

You can get very good deals on high end watches thru the auction houses...Christies have a fine watch sales every few months....(plus you get a condition report & the auction house guarentees authenticity.)

It's a great watch...Enjoy

I think it comes down to personal preference - I think both are very nice.

One is the stainless steel version with the black face, the other is the white face, gold bezel, and leather alligator straps. It was funny, I went through a security check at Warner Bros. when I brought one to work in the box. The guards opened it up in front of a line of people and I heard collective "oohs and aaahs" from all the people in line behind me. They're beautiful timepieces. If I could afford the real ones I would, but when you can get a fantastic replica that can fool jewelers for $1000 instead of $14000 - why the hell not?

Chris,
Would you by TT or SS, I know someone selling a SS Daytona for about the same price. It has all the papers, box, original bill of sale, however since it's a private owner I do not get a gurantee. He does live locally and has agreed to go to any watch shop to have the watch checked out.

Chris,
Which Daytona did you buy

Just FYI, I bought a couple Rolex Daytona replicas that were about $1000 each. When I had them sized at a jeweler, the entire staff couldn't believe they were replicas. One guy on the staff said he used to work exclusively with Rolex and the watches fooled him. After careful study, the only flaw he could spot is the the numbering on the inner dials should be slightly raised. Both watches came with Rolex boxes, all paperwork and swiss tags. The replicas are getting pretty damn good these days! By the way, I love the watches and get compliments on them all the time. It's funny to have conversations with people and watch their eyes keep going back to my watch.

Best of luck,
~Chris

They seem to have a good customer satisfaction poilcy. When you get it you can take it to a watch shop and they will be able to tell you right away if it is real. I would say it is since it comes with papers and they are a business with a guarantee.

The saleman said the same thing, he suggested using a credit card instead of a check. They are not an authorized Rolex dealer. How do I check authencity of the watch and papers, aside from bringing it to a watch dealer. I will bring the watch in for an inspection but want to know how I can make sure it's real. The store will give me a 72 hours unconditional return, they will rpovide me with aunthencity papers and a 1 year same price trade in towards another watch.

A credit card is a good method of payment. I always feel more comfortable that way.

You could also use www.escrow.com which would allow you to have the merchandise and check it out before any funds are transferred.

Use the credit card only......The watch is 99.9999% what it should be the way you described it, but a credit card adds a bit of security. Buying from a store always makes me feel better. Are they an authorized Rolex dealer?

I am in the process of buying my brother a Pre-owned TT Daytona. The seller is a jewelry shop in Florida, they told me that all the papers are available and comes with a box. He also said that the hologram sticker is still on the back of the watch and that the serial numbers is in the A series. I am not able to go out there to look at the watch; he will accept check or credit card. If I pay by check, he will send me the watch after 2 business days, to verify the check. I have heard of horror stories about buying cars with out seeing them, how about watches. How can I protect myself? I have purchased 4 cars without seeing them (2 Ferraris and 2 Jaguars), however I bought them from an authorized dealer and felt safe that they would not try to rip me off, all cars were better than expected.
