I was in King City a couple of weeks ago, helping a friend with a speeding ticket. The DA there, guy by the name of Dave had an interesting store about Mario:
Seems the local Sherrif was stopping people speeding coming out of Laguna Seca, and was using the line: How do you think you are Mario Andretti? Turns out the guys he stopped was Mario, and he was so embarrassed, he let him go.
