Mine is an early MY'00 (Feb), and it still has the metal cap....actually it's quite strange, because if you look at the cap, it appears to have the plastic one contained within it...You could seperate the two (I have no desire or intention to do this).....Why did they change over....the metal cap is far more beautiful.... Main difference I am aware of relates to the headlights...there are three series.....the first was subject to a recall, as the headlight burnt the paint in the housing....the second (my style) has a circle ground onto the headlight (disapates the heat)...The latest version is a redesign and has a bigger housing overhang above the headlight....In truth, unless you know what to look for, it is hard to tell the difference I asked my dealer about updates etc. and he explained that Ferrari doesn't as such make model year updates, they make changes as and when necessary....which could be mid year. Only other variants that I am aware of are badge placed on glovebox to declare F1 world champions, also the aluminium trim has been slightly changed to prevent it from being such an absolute scratch magnet. Finally, the heat shielding beneath the rear window is slightly different Jason |

Just out of curiosity... Does anyone know if the metal oil cap (with Ferrari logo) will fit a 308? Also, what sort of cap is used for the expansion tank on a 360? Is it a metal cap with the F-logo also (similar to the oil cap)? Is this the same situation with the radiator as well? I recently changed out the plastic gas cap on the 308 with a metal one (with the F-logo) -- it was a perfect fit, and looks great too. I've only had the opportunity to look at a couple of 360's. A client of ours (and all around superb guy) recently purchased a 360 and had it at the local car show last Saturday. After studying the engine compartment, it got the wheels turning in my head. (By the way, a Tubi on a 360 sounds absolutely incredible!) |

Dave, The aluminum cap was replaced with a plastic cap as of MY '00. Mine has a plastic cap. |

My 2001 has a plastic cap for the power steering fluid. I've seen pics of a challenge car with the same metal cap as the engine oil has. Do the earlier non-challenge cars have a metal PS fluid cap? Dave |

For '00, Ferrari added pre-cats to the 360. This caused a change in the exhaust sound. The '99 cars are noticeably louder. Other than that, nothing significant. |

I'm looking for any information about any difference between 360s built in 99, 00 and 01 I understand they are basically the same but I would like to learn about any small details or problems that have been fixed Thanks for any info. Arnaud |
