I'm not sure which (fronts or rears), but Fiat 130 lug bolts will fit.

Being a webmistress I am very picky about websites......but in the short time I've been a member I must say the quality of the site is outstanding. I applaude Rob and all fellow chatters. And I thank you for letting me be a part of it.

Great site, Rob's doing a nice job... There may be money in it in the longer run.. www.audiworld.com started out as a small group of enthusiasts catering towards A4's which began in 1996 and now it is subsidized by AoA..

I absolutely agree, a cross reference section! Great idea! I like how easy this site is to use, and I like how fast I get answers to my tech questions. Rob, I sure do appreciate this site!

I think that Joe is right. Lets get a parts cross-refernce section. There are quite a few out there too.

First of all, this is THE BEST FERRARI website.also Id like to see a parts cross referance topic people can add to from time to time.So far Ive replaced my complete brake lines including stainless flexlines 911 $68.00. Rebuilt the steering rack $45.00 78 Ford pinto seal Fedral Mogul.(cant give details on pass side plastic bushing yet without blessing from builder I got it from he might rebuild F-racks too Ill ask soon).Front wheel bearings $5.50 and $7.00 Porsche 911 brake pads, front n rear $40.00
High performance clutch pressure plate and disc (2380)lbs street pedal feel,$185.00.(same as daytona just $515.00 cheaper).Boots for steering rack are Nissan 300zx.(im looking into the tie rods and lug bolts as ive seen them before, just cant remember which car, I cant see $85.00 for a lug bolt (should be $3.00) and tie rods even $20 dollars is high. For those that have the money cool, for those who have money going elsewhere, websites are a beautiful thing.....

Top site Rob, so much much much better than an email list, topics are the way to go. Your site is also fast and the topics are varied but essentially focused on what we are here for.

Love your work!

Rob, you are providing a great service. The guys on this site are a hoot sometimes. I try to help with experienced advice, I receive tips as well as give them, thanks all! I would like to develop a network through the independent shops to share experiences with F-cars as well as others, believe me it can be very time consuming to chase down some of the problems, a couple of calls might be able to save us all money. As posted elsewhere, Lotus USA are very helpful to the aftermarket as well as Lamborghini. I have a couple of dealer mechanics to call but have to use them discretely, the parts guys can be a big help as well. The shirts etc., are a good idea to defray some cost and develop a recognisable presence. Keep up the good work. Hey my typing gets better too!

Yeah, a $10 watch worth $30 to me because it says Ferrari and has prancing horses. The horse on the bottom of the band has almost worn off after just 3 weeks. :(

Rob,

Let me just echo the previous sentiments in thanking you for all your hard work! This site was and continues to be a godsend for me as I'm preparing to buy a 308. In fact, FerrariChat is the only site on the internet that I check daily! All the people on this site are amazing; it's a really cool "web community" to be a part of.

Oh yeah, BTW I ordered one of those Ferrari watches. Kind of cheesy, but not bad for $30 - it's fun to have in the drawer.

Thanks again,
~Chris

Thanks Rob!

I have read some more Ferrari books and have some reviews coming, but I noticed you and I are the only ones who have posted reviews.

Anybody else read a good book lately and would like to let us all know about it?

Over a year ago when I started this I think EC was the only community out there for Ferrari. There are now several. I think competition is good because that will help all the sites improve and the users will benefit. I'm not sure what we're competing for, because there's not any money in it, but the satisfaction everyone gets from it is payment enough. It may sound sick, but I have a nice job that lets me spend my free time how I want. I choose a majority of my free time to be on Ferrari. I have loved it with a passion since a little kid and it will continue the rest of my life. I promise all the users that I will do everything I can to improve the site and to keep adding value. The site isn't going away, unless I go away and I'm already thinking of that plan so even when I'm gone, the site will be around forever.

I don't care how popular other sites become, I only target this community at the passionate, whether owners or future owners.

Rob you have hands down the best site on the internet IMHO. I'll never go back to ExpensiveCar after being corrupted by FC. I will give EC credit though, it was a great site.

I'm busy enough keeping up with the daily maintenance of the site. Only after I spend my hour a day reseting passwords, making backups, and answering questions do I get to work site enhancements. Coming in the next week we'll have the online store to buy logo shirts. Coming over the next month I'll get the trivia working again with new quizes and I'm adding a live chat. I'm always open to adding content created for the Research section or maybe a new section. Seems like a reoccuring request is for a database of parts and procedures for different models. It would take a good effort on my part, but I may be able to automate this.

Mark, I enjoy our website just as it is. Informative and open forum. If you want more nuts and bolts just ask and someone will answer you. It's a great site. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Dunno about the mailing list. Ferrari mailing list and Lamborghini mailing list can really flood you with email if you don't check it every hour, as for me I subscribe to Ferrari mailing list and Lamborghini mailing list and after an hour I get about 100 threads emailed to me....yikes. As for what I would like to see, pictures of sales brochures, ads, little nick knack stuff like that with links to hobby sites as well: for the Ferrari collector in you. Technical forums with diagrams and stuff, this maybe asking for much, who would maintain the site? OH yeah, and videos. It's tough to find those on the net.

That's an idea, Bret. How about more Ferrari babes? Perhaps we should do it by country, or by car type, how's that? The more cylinders, the better, ha! (All this technical stuff can get boring sometimes).

I'd like to see more of those pictures of the naked girls laying on the Fcars. We haven't had any new ones in a while. Are these girls now too good to lay on Ferraris naked?

I would love to see more technical information i.e procedures etc.

Porsche sites are full of this to allow owners to undertake the basic mechanics. Its good learning too.

I hope to get a 348 this year and I am desperate to learn more technical procedures about the car.

Ok then - thanks for all the input - some very good ideas for me to think about and suggest. Many, some, or fewer of these will be appearing on one of the official ferrari sites in the not so distant future....

i don't need any more screen savers :-)

deep rich content is king.

* details on changes between model years (nobody has this)
* details on original MSRP for cars and options (ferrariclub has a bit of this)
* lots of pictures of all the cars and options (nobody has this organized well)
* collect an archive of service history information from owners so we can correlate costs and tasks at various intervals for various cars (nobody does this)
* organize a thorough list of reference links (and listings) by model (nobody does this well).
* etc.

doody.

I was thinking more about features - not specifics - think screensavers and gimmicky things like that. Like pictures of owners cars that they can upload with details of it, spotlight on a certain item every month - any ideas?

Lots of pics of the cars. Spec sheets, important info on the models of the cars, known problems, upgrades through the model years, etc. More technical info.

What would be the top 3 best things that you would like to see on a ferrari website? This could be something personalised such as being able to send postcards / subscribe to a mailing list etc etc
