Don't wait too long for your 360. Seems to me demand is increasing as we approach Springtime and supply is diminishing. |

Peter: That's a picture of the last motorcycle race I ran. It's turn 2 at Sears Point, 1st lap. I came from the third row, and "high sided" in front of 45 of my closest friends. Most of them missed me, but as you can see one ended up on top of me. The crash was in '90 and is a constant reminder of my wasted youth. I no longer race, although I sponsor a rider, and we got the #2 plate last year. I still keep my license, but only so that I can run on track days and the occassional endurance race. Art |

try to contact some off the chart dealerships as well. Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, places you would not expect to have too much of a demand. I would assume in Houston you should get lucks with Enron and the fall out in the local economy. You do not have to order where you live you know. 2000 $ 155 to 160K 1999 $ 145 to $150K most. |

Thanks Martin. I walked away. From your comments I take it that a 99 should be in the range [$145 - $158] What should be a "reasonable deal" range for a 2000 model? I'll contact Ferrari of San Fran today to check whether I can order new. Thanks again! Arnaud |

Try calling Evan at Ferrari of San Francisco about getting on the list. The last time I was there, there was a guy from Levis who wanted to get rid of his place in line. Perhaps you can work out a deal with them. |

Thanks for all the info. The car has a clean carfax report but I think I'm going to pass. I'm not in a hurry and would order a new one if I could. The bad news is that the dealer claims they cannot get me on the list. The good news is that there are many cars on the market. Thanks! Arnaud |

Way too much $$ ! If I were to consider such a car I would have an estimate done by an experience Ferrari body shop and offer the seller $150,000 minus the amount of the estimate. The seller should accept with no regrets as the value of the car decreases every day, particularly with the now known body damage. For $160,000, I would look into getting a 550 with 10,000 miles or so. The 550 is a much better value and you get a V12. It's what Enzo would want. |

The car is 3 years-old with damage that you readily noticed. Sticker on a 2002 (perfect from the factory)is lower. The question is: How badly do you need a 360 today? |

That's too high a price. I would not buy the car unless you were able to get a complete history behind the bumper issue-you have no idea of what really happened and in that respect, the price is 2,000-15,000 too high, depending upon the real history of the car, IMO. Have you done a carfax on the vehicle and had it inspected by an independent mechanic or Ferrari dealer not involved in the sale? |

I'm considering buying a 99 360. The car looks OK despite a few scratches, and two repaired ding that still slighly show only with very specific lighting. However, while reviewing the history, I noticed that the front bumper has been replaced. By looking closer, I realized that the car body front edge is slightly off (a few milimeters), just as if the front collision pushed the body edge up a little bit. The paint looks fine and has a uniform pattern so I don't think the body has been painted. The car looks great and it is hard to notice unless you know about it. The big question is how much that issue should affect the car value... The current deal is 160K for a red F1 99 which has about 4000 miles. Any opinion or advice are greatly appreciated. Thanks Arnaud |
