Hi Jon - yes the Challenge wheels are awesome, it improved the car's handling a lot. The car felt very sure footed now. IMO all 348 owners should upgrade the wheels first before anything else (to all 348 owners out there, there's a set of pristine Challenge wheels/tires on ebay right now. Get em'-those wheels are NLA!). You cant go wrong with Speedlines.

The side panels actually came with the car when I purchased it from Ferrari of SF, a bonus I guess. I love them. I swap the panels all the time whenever I get tired of it's looks.

If they cost 7K new forget that idea all together! I was looking at some MOMO seats over the past few hours and think they might be what I am looking for. http://sportscar-parts.com/mivastore/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=www.sportscar-parts.com&Product_Code=mm1092 is the place where I have seen these for the most reasonable price and hell each one only weights in at 12.8lbs. Has anyone else looked at these or had any experience with them....I have a MOMO nascar seat and love it however its all different colors and make the 348 look like a tricked out honda civic

Noel,

I sold you the Speedline wheels last March. Nice to see you are a member of the FerrariChat community. I noticed you replaced the side strakes on your Speciale with 355 side vents. Looks awesome where did you get the 355 side vents.

The Speedline wheels look great on that car!

John,

There was a pair of tan 348 Speciale seats on Ebay last week. You just missed it.

I recommend that you reconsider on getting the Speciale seats. They are the worst seat I've ever seen (and $7k new? geez). Getting in and out of these seats are very troublesome. The seatbelt latches are very sharp & could hurt your thigh if you are not careful getting in(not very inviting if you have a date). I almost sold my car because of that. Then I found a pair of standard 348 seat on ebay(BTW: ebay rocks!).

Also, you're not saving that much in weight. The sliders are heavy. You'll probably save 20 lbs the most and not worth it in my opinion. Go for the real Challenge seats if you are seeking performance.

I bet you could get racing style seats and have them recovered by a decent leather shop.

My bad Martin you are right, I had a brain fart while writting this....so rephrase my question above except add Special seats instead of Challenge seats. And like I said before any help would be appreciated.

The challenge seats are all red. Racing seats by OMP.
What you refer to is the Special seats with the carbon fibre back.

In my never ending quest to lighten up my 348 I am look for a set of creme challenge seats. I know that this is almost an impossible color to find but nothing else looks right with the creme leather interior my car has (should have gotten black), I have tried tan, black, and red and they all look goofy. If anyone knows where to find a set or has a set to sell let me know.
