You're right Ernie, Cattle or Ferraris it is all the same. Whether you are wearing a Tux or Coveralls if the money is there it is all the same.

I just found this jpeg on my hard drive and it made me think of this topic. This was an Enron-sponsored 355 Challenge car at the April, 2001 Challenge race at Virginia International Raceway. He's in the winner's circle. I was there for the race and it was a great time.

I guess that sticker is off now. :)

This is so true Magoo. In high school I took a FFA (Futer Farmers of America) class instead of a bio class. It was different and I learn alot. Anyhow about "you never know how much money a man has in his pocket", get this. The instructor told us about this old cattle rancher that used to keep $15k cash rolled up with a rubberband in his overall pocket. We asked why, and the teacher told us that he carried it just in case he ran across some good cattle that he wanted to buy on the spot. That and it was easier to get a good deal if you had the greenbacks right there. So you really never know what kind money some one has.

Ernie, That reminds me of my friend who is in the home construction business. One afternoon he got paid out on a job. After going to the bank he said to me "Let's go buy a Vette." Off we went to the Chevy Dealer to look at some of them. Walked in dusty and in work clothes and got ignorned by all of the salesman except one old man who said may I help you. My friend said yeah I'll take this one on the showroom floor. Laid cash on the old man and drove it home. Sure they all had their mouths wide open and looked like fools, but the sad part of it is they probably never learned anything from that. "We as a nation are too fat and happy." One word pops up after saying that which should also be included,"stupid." "You never know how much money a man has in his pocket regardless of what he looks like."

The only people I am rude to when in my Ferrari are the salesmen at the new car lots. I went looking at new cars just for kicks, and couldn't get the time of day from the sales guys. One kid, had to be the new guy, came out finally and helped me. We went for a test drive, and while talking my Ferrari came up. Told him I would bring it buy so he could see it. Well the next week I did drop in. Low and behold almost the whole freekin sales team came out. It was like a bunch of pirahnas at feeding time. So what did I do, sweet revenge, ignored them the same way they did me, then asked for the new kid by name. LOL it was soooo funny to see the looks in their eyes, when they realized that I was the same guy that came by the week before. Needless to say the kid was pleased. On the way back to my car one of the pirahnas asked me how "How much did you get it for?", man that just pissed me off. So I told him I could get any car on the lot and get change, got in the Ferrari fired it up and drove off. That is the only time I am rude, is when people don't treat you with respect. I also do that so that maybe they will be nice to the next guy that looks like an average joe. Not that I am anything special.

The producer of the F&F, Neal H. Moritz, was the Ferrari driver. Terrible movie btw.
